Though I am against detroit Grin, you did an Awesome job!!! Did you use a pattern for the jersey or did you make it up yourself? I want to make one for my dog but the store bought jerseys and patterns barely fit him because he is short and pudgy.

4  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / alternative to oat and Oatmeal? on: December 02, 2009 10:35:20 AM
This is my first time attempting to make my own body products so I am still learning about many of the ingredients.  I have been looking through recipes for Bath and Body products but so many of them include some form of oat or oatmeal. I am severely allergic to oat and was wondering if there were an alternative ingredient you could suggest that would allow me to still make the products successfully, but in a way that I won't potentially die.  Grin

Thanks so much!!!

One of my best friends just graduated from college with a film degree. She has been asking for a bag for a while now, so I thought this would be the perfect gift( Filled with random Pirates of the caribbean things of course...) I used the same out side pattern that I made up for myself a few months back( and seem to be stuck on making as I've done 6 already...

The flap is a black and creme houndstooth print, the body a black quilted cotton, and the inside black cotton. I got lazy, so the strap is Black Webbing. The image is black and white vinyl.

she loved it, and I've been commissioned to make a bag for her mom. Fun times.
I dont know why the pictures are all strange sizes and upsidedown, they are normal on Photobucket....

OOOOOH! I really like that. I especially like the cherry fabric. It is really cute . Did you use a pattern, or draft your own? I can see those selling, they would be good for a professional arena- plain on the outside, wild on the inside.

I think I used about 3/4 of the spool for the main blue color. the patch is pretty big, I think it is about 5x7, there are 10 different colors of thread though,so it used a lot overall.
