1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / H to the K on: June 04, 2004 04:10:20 PM
Here's my very first reconstruction...  a skirt from a shirt!  It all started when...

"Like my skirt?" Asked sh00ga's friend.
Sh00ga blinked, before replying, "Um, I can make that skirt.  Its just a tube with ruffles on it..."
The friend frowned, before she shot back, "Well, if you can make a skirt like this, why do they sell it for $40 at stores?"
Sh00ga did not reply.

Well, I guess I saved forty dollars. ^_^

(sorry, my digital camera went spazzy, so i had to paint it. ^^"  the color's a little off; it's supposed to be a brighter blue.)

I'm especially proud of this becuase I had to handsew it all, which took about 4 hours off my life, but it was worth it.  If anyone wants a tutorial, I'll post one.  Making this skirt is so easy, its practically scandalous. 8D

2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Halter to Shirt? on: May 04, 2004 01:56:55 PM
I just got a new halter top, but due to school guidelines, I can't wear it in school without wearing something over it, and it's starting to get too warm for that!  Is there anyway to turn a halter top into a shirt or thick-strapped tank top?  This is my first topic/post...  So please excuse me if I sound stupid. *grins stupidly*
