1  COOKING / Dessert / Lactose-Intolerance and cookies. on: November 27, 2008 03:46:53 PM
Does anyone know of any good recipes for non-dairy containing cookies?
I need something delicious to make my boss (and co-workers) for Christmas, but he happens to be lactose-intolerant.

Suggestions are super. Thanks so much!

3  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / glue for metal. on: April 25, 2007 12:19:58 PM
hey everyone.

i have a small dilemma. i have to glue two hunks of aluminum together for my 3D class (i tried to make interlocking joints, like the darn professor said, but it just did not work... they do not fit)

does anyone know of any heavy duty glue that would hold two good sized chunks of aluminum together?

any help gets this:
a "THANK YOU" in advance!
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Skully jeans on: March 10, 2007 08:37:58 AM
so... my sister bought those hole-y jeans that are all the rage right now. and she liked them... then one day she sat down and one of the holes decided to grow. from then on, every time she sat... the hole grew bigger.

so she said. you sew, fix them. i looked at the gigantic hole that needed patched and though. oh boy.

then we were walking in a craft store and saw some cute iron on skully decals. an idea was born and this was the result.

if you read all that. congrats. you are my new best friend.

anyways, without further ado.

yep. i'm pretty darn proud. it's the first project that i finished and could post on here. lol.  Cheesy
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / i need something to do. on: March 05, 2007 01:47:33 PM

so... i need something to keep me busy... especially over break.

anyone know of any easy halter dress patterns that would look really cute for an upcoming wedding i must attend?

peace out everyone  Roll Eyes
6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / iron on transfers and appliques on: August 05, 2006 06:36:41 PM
i wanted to add some fabric circles to my little purse thingy to dress it up a bit, but  couldn't cut a very good circle out of fabric and i wanted the fabric to be stiffer... so in my little world of a beginner sewer i had no idea how to do this. until i saw my iron on transfers that kinda suck out of the corner of my eye. i ironed it fast to my fabric, made a circle on the back(on the peel off paper) and cut it out. peeled of the paper and "voila" a perfectly stiff circle for my little purse thingy. all i had to do was sew it on and it worked!  Shocked

i thought i'd post this, in case anyone else doesn't know what to do with some crappy iron on transers.

thanks in advance.
