1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Knit Two Together Doctor's Bag on: October 20, 2007 07:13:09 AM
It's BEAUTIFUL! Can we see a pic of the lining?

(I make bags all the time and I'm really into seeing other people's linings  Shocked)

That is totally gorgeous work and it looks wonderful on you.

I'm curious: what is the Korean yarn market?

Interesting commentary here about about people's preferred sock technique!

Your sock is lovely. I was interested in that pattern, but decided not to make it when I realized it was toe-up. I don't like toe-up socks, either, though with me it's because I don't really like short-row heels.
4  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows swap (Signups 9-5 to 9-18, Sendout 10-18) on: September 06, 2007 11:15:57 AM
Do you have guidelines for the swap packages? 1 thing, 2 things, big things, small things, etc....

That is wonderful; I've been wanting to make one of those for years.
6  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Help! I want to make a circular quilt.... on: August 09, 2007 05:16:23 PM
Thanks for the ideas!

I first saw the round crib in a magazine and fell in love with it, though the one featured in the layout was very, very, "high end." I ended up buying mine at a slightly more accessible department store and I'm very happy with it. I kept telling myself it was foolish and impractical but I didn't care. So now here I am, having to make my own bedding set. But that will make it more special.  Smiley

Habitat-lady, I have to say I hadn't really thought about all the cool possibilities that you have. I was going to just do a plain coverlet, but now you have my imagination going! My theme for the room is Vintage Toys. I think there some interesting possibilities there!

Thanks again, everybody!
7  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Help! I want to make a circular quilt.... on: August 05, 2007 09:02:00 AM
I bought a round crib for my coming arrival and I have had no luck at all finding a round bedding set that I like. I have thought of making one myself, but I am worried about making a circle-shaped quilt or coverlet. What is the best way to cut out a circle that large? Can anyone help?

8  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Got the new Interweave Knits! on: February 16, 2007 06:41:19 PM
That sucks, spacecase71! In a panic I ran to check my copy, but I have all the pages. Hope you hear back from them soon. Sad

(I assume you got yours in the mail? Otherwise I'd try taking it back to wherever you bought it from.)

I did get mine in the mail. They still have not responded. I guess I'll call again on Monday.

I'm not crazy about the new layout. I DO like that there are smaller pics of the projects in with the patterns; I'll probably get used to it, but the old way was much better.

Am I the only one who is missing pages 97-120? I e-mailed IWK and called and left a message on their machine, but have not heard back. I'd like to know if it's just me   Huh

Goofy me, I didn't realize until today, the last "episode," that it was the dad and joey knitting a sweater for the mom. Now that is a thousand times cute! Cheesy
