22  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / knifty knitted shawl on: September 26, 2006 07:51:36 PM
ok you all here goes again. you know all i have is this cheap little web cam that's not worth a crap, so please bear with me. first i used the yellow knifty knitter. i wrapped it all the way and then backtracked, so it wouldn't connect. i used three different yarns for this. i used a plain tan yarn, and a multicolored yarn in Sage Mary both medium worsted and to get the furry soft look and feel i also used one strand of fun fur. i wrapped all three at once around the pegs like the instuctions says to do. and this is what i came out with. the pictures does not do it justice.

here is a close up pic:

heres me showing the side of it:

heres up close on the end with the hand knotted tassles i did between each double row:

and heres the front view:

i made this for a friend for christmas who is very picky. i really hope she likes it. it took about two weeks to make it cause i had to keep buying funfur until i thought it was long enough.
it doesn't look like it but it is about 7' long. i made it long enough to drape off her shoulder's if she wanted or she could double wrap it around her.
if you want an idea of what it is supposed to look like without the funfur i got the idea from one of the pamphlets. here is the link to it. if you're wondering witch it is; it is on the bottom right.
so let me know what you think. thanx for looking.

23  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / cut and sew plastic box (simple? NOT!) on: September 24, 2006 05:45:43 PM
I thought I was going to be smart and try plastic canvis. well let me teel you even with instructions it's not easy to cut this stuff out to the t. Thank god you can't tell it but there is a whole lot of mistakes in this cute little box. After i was done I maxed out the box and made 2 bigger ones for gifts that turned out good too. wish I had pics of those too but who knows where they are now.
Just let me know what you think about it.

24  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / knitted hat and scarf on: August 28, 2006 01:06:24 AM
Sorry Embarrassed about the pictures but this is the best I could do. I used the knifty knitter loom for the hat and the knifter knitter long loom for the scarf. It took me about 3 hours to do both, anf that was because I had just bought the long loom. I used the basic wrap and pull over method that come with the looms.

I used Red Heart Bright and Lofty in Bubblegum and a complementary colour in the same line. I can't remember what colour it was because I used it all on the scarf, Tongue but it had the same colour of pink in it too, plus a mixture of other colours.I used just 1 strand to make these. It was thick enough that I didn't have to use 2 strands.

I made it for my girlfriends little girl for christmas, I hope she likes it.  Grin
