1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Super-simple front-post dc cowl scarf. on: January 07, 2008 07:57:58 AM
Yes, doing triples is kind of a pain, I don't ever get into the "flow"

I think these would make great gifts, everyone who sees it likes it!

I like the look of it in that bulky yarn, nice color choice too.

it reminds me of the mossy cowl that was in interweave crochet a few issues ago http://www.knittingdaily.com/freepatterns/crochet/223-1.html I made one in purple
3  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: debbie stoller coming to town! on: November 27, 2007 07:14:07 PM

4  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: Suggestions for first sweater attempt on: November 20, 2007 08:03:34 AM
I really like top-down sweaters because you can try it on as you go, and I hate seaming!
5  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: Anyone make LB's Elegant Shell top??? on: November 20, 2007 08:02:18 AM
there are quite a few of these completed on ravelry, people used either a G or an H hook. They used LB Cotton, RH Soft, Simply Soft and TLC Essentials- so I think you are fine using Cotton Plus with an H hook, I usually have to go up a size too. I think for a 36 D bust you might want to make the large size
6  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / Re: SnB new book - men's projects on: November 16, 2007 05:09:17 AM

I can't believe she didn't take our suggestions!
I know I won't be asking for it for xmas now---maybe I'll take it out from the library if they have it, just to see.....but if it's as dissapointing as you say, then I won't buy it.

Same here, so disappointing! I'll check it out from the library eventually, but won't be purchasing it. hissssss!
7  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: What to make with my RHSS Cherry Chip - YUMMMM!!! on: November 16, 2007 05:04:37 AM
washing it will help, my son didn't like his RHSS hat that I made until I washed it because it was too scratchy. I have also heard that brushing it can help too.

9  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / New Debbie Stoller book? on: November 15, 2007 08:30:33 AM
Has anyone seen the new book "Son of a Stitch and Bitch" ?? I am wondering about the crochet content? I can't seem to find it in bookstores here and don't want to order it off amazon if it only has a few crochet patterns (like One Skein)
