It's beautiful! I have to go find my double-pointed needles right now!

I was so very inspired by the projects, however, I have yet to make anything fromthe book as it was meant to be.

My popsicle purse is actually a "cache-pot" for my hanging plants (no handle, or lid/cover). Very sturdy! My next popsicle project is going to be in the shape of a vase.
3  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / Re: Best Crochet Resource EVER on: May 28, 2006 01:53:40 PM
Other than the super long chains I used to make when I was 8 years old, I'm new to crochet (but old to most other needle crafts) and I'm fairly self-taught on all things yarn-related, and it was only with the Happy Hooker that the light bulb finally went on regarding crocheting on the round (I have finally mastered the granny square!!). Thanks Debbie!!

The turtle is sooo cute!! I'm going to start the front of mine today. I decided to make it bad-ass black & white with the skulls. I'm making it for the size I think the baby will be when it's my birthday in February so he can wear it then!

Are you using intarsia or duplicate stitch for the pattern?

Great job on your sweater! I'm making it, too, and just finished the back. I'm making it in black & white with the skulls. (I'm 33 years old and I still love shocking my mother! She questioned my choice of design for a baby.) It certainly is satisfying to make something so quickly for a change.

Did you do duplicate stitch or intarsia for the design? I found the instructions contradicted the blurb a little bit regarding the design.

I feel a little late in the game, but, I'm working on my own version of the vest. I did start it back in February but it took a backseat to some serious crocheting and now I'm doing over-time on a baby shower gift ("Baby's First Tatoo" from SnB Nation").  All your previous posts will make it that much easier to finish this vest. I'm second guessing my choice of size but as a fuller-figured gal I've burned before by making things that end up too small and make lovely gifts...

Anyone still working on this vest?
