1  Re: Make-a-Friend Round 10: The Gallery in The Swap Gallery by noushi on: September 26, 2013 09:09:05 AM
I'm super late in posting this, but here are the pics of the WONDERFUL package that Theboywonder sent me!!!! He super spoiled me.

This is the whole package- (sorry for the slight blurriness, I didn't realize it was there until I was uploading them)

This is the awesome tote bag of Ten!!!! I just love it soo much!

Here is the super cute Totoro necklace. I'm usually not a big fan of jewelry, but I've actually worn this necklace several times since I've received it.

I just love, love, love this mini Totoro ami!!!

And my first Hoopla!!! I loved this image to begin with, but the soft colors and bold lines of the embroidery make it just perfect!

I love everything soo much, thanks Max!!!

Thought I'd share a pic of how the Bohemian Bouquet quilt is coming along. This is from the center block.

I received a great package from my partner Theboywonder! I know the packages are supposed to be themed around your partner, but I feel like this package was custom made for me!!!

Here's a group shot of everything:

Here's some close ups now:

This is a great green hat, some tarot cards with holder (I love tarot and it's not something we had even talked about), a LSP sticker, a mini journal, and some lip balm.

Some really cool shrinky-dink Adventure Time magnets. These are already on the fridge!

These are some awesome hand made envelopes made out of comic book pages! I just love the corgi one (we have a corgi-chihuahua mix)

And this is some really neat bookmarks from Supernatural and Doctor Who!
I didn't get any close ups of the books, Never Let Me Go and The One I Left Behind, and some cool ATC blanks. I've never made ATCs before, but now I definitely want to try.
This was an awesome package that I'm soo happy to have received.

4  Re: NeedleBook Rd2 Swap - Gallery - SO 06/24 in The Swap Gallery by noushi on: June 29, 2013 07:35:02 AM
Here is the lovely Needlebook I received from Lille. She went with my favorite color combo, grey and yellow. I love the little hand embroidered "needles" on it.

And a pic of the yellow pages.

ooh pretty!  Is the yellow part from a doily?  Love the colors  Smiley

The yellow part is just a stamp cut in the shape of a doily. I couldn't find any doilies around and was too lazy to crochet one.

Here's pics of the ah-mazing fabric Unicorlasers sent me! She went with my outer space theme and hexagons.

And here's an up-close look of the galaxy's in the background of the hexagons.

Here's my wonderful package I got from Eclectic Dreamer. It's pretty pic heavy just to warn you.

First up is a group shot of the whole package. I forgot to get the Alaskan smoked sea salt in the pic.

Next is a close up of the yarn. She sent "Angel" yarn which is pure white, with hints of red and brown "Demon" since they're not always so innocent. Then there is the "Demon" yarn which is brownish-black with traces of red for blood and yellow for the Yellow Eyed Demon.

Then there is the most amazing thing ever! It's a little altered Altoid tin that's been made into an Ouija Board. The detail on it is sooo amazing. It even has a little planchette. There's also a very cool Castiel Bookmark.

And a pic of just the Ouija Board.

And finally a picture of the inside of the Ouija Board. Once you open it up it is filled with all the goodies you need to go hunting. There is vials of salt, oil, and holy water. The salt is on a chain so you can take it anywhere. There's also a very cool charm of angel wings.

I love my package and had a ton of fun in this swap!

7  Simple Bracelet in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by noushi on: May 04, 2013 10:54:12 AM
In the Fill a Box Lucky 13 swap I received some really cool milk glass like beads from Mamaphunk. Last night I was messing around with some wire and decided to make a bracelet with the beads. So here it is. It's my second project with wire.

I used a tutorial at http://katalinajewelry.blogspot.com/2012/01/wrapped-loopstutorial-basic-wire.html for pretty much all of it.

8  Simple Pouch for the From My Stash Swap in CHALLENGE 86 ENTRIES by noushi on: May 03, 2013 01:37:35 PM
I made this pouch for my partner from a swap waaaaay back in 2007, the From My Stash Swap. I originally flaked on my partner (I know, bad me), but in 2012 I sent to my original partner this awesome pouch (There were other things in the package too). Anyways, on to the pics.

The bag is from a pattern I made myself. The outside is some thick fabric I had laying around, the lining is from and old sheet, and the piping was store bought at one point or another.

This is the only pic I have of the lining. The pattern of the bag allows it to stand on it's own with a wide mouth for easy access.

I also made a little pouch to go with it, and it was my first time using a zipper.

All wrapped up and ready to go.

9  Damien The Desert T-Rex in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by noushi on: May 01, 2013 03:39:34 PM
Hi Everyone, I just finished making this cute T-Rex from Bluephone Studios and I wanted to share him.

I've decided he's a rare breed of nomadic Desert T-rex's that live on their own. Right now he's content to live on my desk at work.

Hope you guys like him!

I bought the pattern here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/126495488/crochet-pattern-timothy-the-t-rex?ref=shop_home_active

10  Re: Fill-A-Box Lucky 13 - US Only GALLERY (MAIL BY 4/27/13) in The Swap Gallery by noushi on: May 01, 2013 08:38:39 AM
I got my amazing box in the mail yesterday, but I got a little confused. It came inside of a UPS box that said "Dr. Brown's Natural Flow Baby Bottles" on it... It was a pleasant surprise to open that box and find the swap box tucked inside! As I was unpacking everything it was like I was unpacking Mary Poppin's bag, it just kept going and going. It was full of fabric, vintage buttons, yarn, a knitting book, a bundle of paper, beads, glass bead pins, ribbon, mini erasures, pendants for necklaces, tons of great stuff! Anyhoo onto the pics.

The two boxes.

I just now realized this pic is pretty blurry. It's of all the loots.

My absolute favorites (although it was really hard to pick). The things in the middle that are kinda hard to see are some really awesome glass bead pins.
