1  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Bunny Hoodie - Some Questions 9/25 on: August 28, 2010 06:54:29 PM
Alright! I'm trying to make this: http://bit.ly/c8Ms74  but with crochet. I've found some patterns that I'm gonna modify/wing with, I know the final product isn't going to be a lot like it, (http://bit.ly/bKOO6W and maybe this hacked into it some how http://bit.ly/dCaHCp )

My Questions are:
1) what is some nice really soft yarn to use,
2) what would be the best ways to do/attach the ears?  I have done some searching, but not finding anything that was helpful.
3) Pockets. My friend has this hoodie, but I haven't had a chance to thoroughly inspect it yet. From the picture, it looks like it's a single pocket that does across the front, is there a good way to do that, or would any sort of fake notion of a mess I come up with work for it?

4) sleeves! I made the sleeves and body of the hoodie separately, and now need some way to attach them. I had stopped to about where I want the sleeves on the body of it. Best way to attach them? Did I screw up badly already?

Cheesy thanks~ You all always are the most helpful bestest
2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Small Cat Plushie on: April 10, 2010 12:06:23 PM
I'm still a huge beginner in sewing, and trying to create a small cat chibi plushie for a project at school.

(none of the images are to scale)
This is what I would like to end up with (with understanding that it wont be 100% like the picture)http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v403/Yamori/body.jpg

This is what I was thinking on how to do the head http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v403/Yamori/head.jpg

and this was my thoughts for the body http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v403/Yamori/lower_body.jpg

My problem is actually drawing a pattern that will work well (I have attempted it, alas it looks like crud) and the best way to attach the body and head. I was going to use yarn for the tail. I would love any help or suggestions with the pattern! Thank you very much!
3  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Discussion and Questions / A square Amigurumi? on: August 10, 2009 10:41:55 AM
Okay, So I haven't exhausted searching yet, but I was wondering if it's possible to make a square, more flat type of Amigurumi. I found the Monokuro boo, but instead of a cube, I want something more flat, but still a little puffed out. Something like this

but in a cat. If there's something close, could you please point me towards it? I haven't been crocheting very long, and was thinking of making the pattern, but probably going about in the wrong method of it.

umm... help? ><
