3  Farmers Market Bag in Knitting: Completed Projects by ffungal on: October 13, 2007 07:26:17 AM

My farmers market bag! I miss summer already. This pattern is a conglomerate of a ton of different farmers market bags I have seen online and in my knitting magazines. I used it a lot and had a great time knitting it. Aren't those flowers amazing!? They are from Ithaca's local farmer market.

4  Notre Dame Pullover in Knitting: Completed Projects by ffungal on: October 10, 2007 07:54:26 PM

Pattern:Notre Dame Pullover-Summer 07 IK
Material: Berroco Ultra Alpaca 50% alpaca, 50% wool ( I detest 100% alpaca becuase it sheds way to much, this blend is as nice as 100 % alpaca without the shed and with extra warmth)
Amount: hmm 5 balls? I knit this awhile ago
Needles: hmm maybe US 8
Modifications: Not too many. I added the 2 inch knit 1 purl 1 ribbed band on the body and the sleeves because I love ribbing. I did a yarn subsitution and really thats about it. Veronik Avery writes and designs the most beautiful patterns

handpainted button!

Ain't she pretty?! I love this sweater. More photos and info on the b-log

5  Perdita Headband- Stash busting in Knitting: Completed Projects by ffungal on: October 09, 2007 06:48:07 PM
I had some extra cotton yarn and beads. So I used the Perdita pattern from the Summer 2006 Knitty - Lily of the Valley to make a headband.

you can't tell in either of these photos, but I actually ran out of beads for the last three repeats of the headband. Since this was a stash busting project I refused to buy anything for the project, so I just completed it without the beads. You really can't tell even though... kind of haha.

More photos and info on the b-log.

6  Green Hat in Knitting: Completed Projects by ffungal on: October 04, 2007 04:53:11 AM
I made this a long time ago and never got around to posting it. I bought the yarn with a small beanie in mind, but this is what happens when you have the knitting jones and just start knitting without a gauge or solid plan in mind. I ended up liking the outcome anyway. Thank god for the knitting fairy.

This project was a long time ago before I logged the yarns I used but it was a Berroco yarn. It's embellished with one of those beaded bridal patches.

hope you like it,

7  Tea Rose Halter- IK summer 2007 in Knitting: Completed Projects by ffungal on: September 23, 2007 05:11:06 PM
So heres a funny story, I knit this whole thing in one sitting triple stranded and on the last pattern repeat I realized that I had calucalted the yardage thinking I was going to knit it double stranded! I had to knit it twice, good thing this was an easy enjoyable knit, great for knitters new to lace.

close up of the double knit glory

I keep the pattern the same except I subbed yarn and didn't make a strap
