1  Re: Rusted Root in Knitalongs by goodkarma on: September 29, 2007 08:53:01 PM
I finished mine recently...
I made some modifications, especially to the neckline. I call mine Square Root! I love this top; it fits so well.

More info on my blog, Ravelry page, or Flikr page.

2  Re: Vogue Winter 04/05 #23 shawl~collared pullover in Knitalongs by goodkarma on: April 10, 2006 05:27:10 PM
I finally took pictures of my finished Shawl Collared Pullover, too! Too bad my 7-month preggo belly is preventing me from taking a modeled picture...  Cheesy

I made mine with heathered purple Cascade Lana d'Oro, just over 10 skeins.

If anyone out there is still considering making this sweater, I highly recommend it. It's a very well written pattern and is easy to follow. There are more details at my blog.

5  Re: "Lucky" from SNBN knitalong in Knitalongs by goodkarma on: March 07, 2005 10:04:41 PM
I'm using Baby Cashmere from Elann. Oh my goodness. It's such a soft, gorgeous yarn I want to kiss it but I don't want my husband to give me any more weird looks. har har. Roll Eyes

Here's the swatch I just knit up. I tried using my addi turbo #3 (3.25mm) first (bottom) and then #2 (3mm) (top) because the #3 felt really loose and floppy. Amazing what a .25mm difference made.

The scanner doesn't do the color "Peacock" justice. Next time I'll take a pic with my digi.

6  Re: My favorite Baby Sweater! in Knitting: Completed Projects by goodkarma on: February 03, 2005 09:19:49 PM
Here's my finished Haiku!!

Thanks to Soulemama for the inspiration to make this for my friend's baby's 1st birthday. I loved the pattern and will definitely make it again. I used Lamb's Pride Cotton Fleece in Cherry Moon and really enjoyed this yarn. The stitch definition and drape were fabu. My only sadness was that I didn't have time to make fun Fimo buttons and couldn't find anything cute and whimsical like I wanted, so I found these pretty Austrian engraved silvertoned buttons that worked out well.

7  Interweave Knits Snuggly Baby Hat in Knitting: Completed Projects by goodkarma on: January 08, 2005 11:25:31 PM
I made this a few months ago for my friend, and her baby has finally arrived. Here's a piccie of cute Anya in her hat:

That was my first lace project and it really helped increase my skills and my confidence as a knitter. I used a pattern from Interweave Knits Summer 2004, "Snuggly Baby Hat", and Dalegarn Baby Ull washable wool with #2 DPN (they're like toothpicks!! haha!!)

8  Re: working on "under the hoodie"! in Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller by goodkarma on: June 30, 2004 02:45:34 PM
I've wanted to make this ever since I browsed through my friend's copy of the book, before I started knitting, too. Finally, I do have the yarn for it (Cascade Lana d'Oro, courtesy of the WEBS sale a while back), but I think I'll wait until September to knit it. I'm in tank top mode right now!

Here's my yarn. The purple will be the main body, the dark green is the skinny stripe, and the lighter green is the big stripe and sleeves.

I'll keep watching all of your progress in the meantime!

9  Re: To Dye For sweater in Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller by goodkarma on: June 30, 2004 02:39:52 PM
I finished all the pieces to this sweater a month or two ago and the idea of piecing it together doesn't thrill me. So it's been sitting in ziploc for a while. I think I'm afraid that it won't fit or something, but I won't know until I just do it, right?

Sadly for the sweater, I'm about to leave on a month-long vacation, so it'll wait. But I wanted to share what it looks like so far. Maybe this will force me to finish up? haha!

So here's a picture of the front and a sleeve... guess I didn't lay them out nice and flat before snapping away:

And here's a closeup of the color and lovely mohairyness:

When I get back in town, I'll finish 'er up and show you how it fits... if it fits!!
