1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / The Beast: Simplicity 3878 Prom Dress on: June 10, 2007 03:03:30 PM
For my senior project, I chose to make my prom dress. I figured, hey, at least I'll get something out of senior project instead of just a healthy serving of wanting to die. It still was really frustrating (tank tops made by using patterns were my main forte before starting this), but I was pretty happy.

EraVera also happens to be one of my best friends so you may have seen her/me already! We went on a picnic beforehand cause we're cheap and thought it would be fun. And it was!

Me looking mighty fine the minute I was done with it...

Awkward? I got the worst tshirt sunburn known to man the day before prom happened. Of course, the weather was the hottest of the year the weekend of prom.

Thanks for looking!
2  Washington / Washington: West / Any pattern drafters, Seattle or Eastside? on: February 14, 2007 10:32:54 PM
Hey everyone...
I have just begun my senior project class, and have decided that I would like to learn how to draft patterns since I've been buying them for awhile now. This senior project business requires a product mentor that is an expert in their field (in this case, pattern drafting) that will work with or supervise me throughout the 20+ hours. For this particular topic I think that my main option is to take a class (and so far all I can find are the Art Institute and the International Academy of Design & Technology; of both I am unsure of what they will allow a high school student to participate in...) but I was wondering if any of you here on Craftster have any ideas or people I could contact for this project.
Thank you in advance!
3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Redwalls bag on: February 05, 2006 12:53:55 AM

This bag was a Christmas gift for someone that liked The Redwalls, obviously. I took my inspiration from the Universal Blues CD cover (this wasn't stencilled, I just printed out the cover and freehanded it from there) and found a red tote at JoAnn's and got white fabric paint to paint the band name upon it. As a final touch, I made a tshirt-weight fabric flower with a sort of ribbon trailing to the back of the bag and tied into a bow.

Sorry for the crappy picture quality, these were taken as an afterthought at 11pm the night before I gave it to her.
4  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Phonograph Stencil...ANYBODY? on: January 02, 2005 02:29:43 PM
I've sifted through a bunch of websites, but I can't seem to find ONE stencil. I don't really know how to make a stencil, but I would if I could find even an acceptable picture. I've seen a few tshirts around here, like Jayne's tee: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=15049.0 inspired from a LiveJournal using a stencil like that. I would greatly appreciate anybody that can help.
5  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / I Painted an Ancient Suitcase on: June 08, 2004 08:15:08 PM
Yes, indeed I did. Now, the inside is too nasty (not like DISGUSTING or anything, just falling apart and smells old, which apparently Febreeze did not much for). Anyway...

I obviously cannot work the picture thing, where's a website where these can be hosted for free?
