1  Mini Juice Pouch Purse (18" Doll Size). in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Sarie23 on: January 08, 2010 02:30:25 PM
This is my latest project:

I absolutely adore making miniatures.

See a few more pictures in this 40 second video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qq5BAsT2Fnc

If you have a craft question for me, feel free to ask. But, I can't promise to be active on this site... I have been a member for years now && I always tend not to check back regularly. I will be more likely to answer quickly on my YouTube account.

2  Snip & Stitch, Sparkly Homecoming Dress. in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Sarie23 on: August 27, 2008 08:43:34 PM
What's a girl to do when she recieves an invitation to a masquerade themed birthday party and has nothing to wear? Why, spruce up an old dress, of course!  Cheesy

This is the dress that I decided to alter to my liking.
There I am in my Junior year of high school - 2 years ago, 2"inches shorter, && 20 pounds lighter. xD haha. I just really am amused at how my sense of style has changed since then.

But then, snipity-snip-stitch-stitch-stitch:

I can hardly believe how it turned out. I love it  Grin
All I did was put a few stitches in the top to form a slight V shape, cut the skirt to make it go straight across, cut the tie/bowy thingy off, and gathered the skirt in a few places to get a bunched effect with the stitches.

I did wear it out like this since it was only a small party, but I still think I need to finalize it somehow... there is no hem at the bottom - it's just raw fabric from when I cut it [[sorry, my sewing//fabric terms are non-existant]]. Any advice?

I made these kind of a while ago, but I finally created an image to feature them.

They are all hand-sculpted from Sculpey clay.

4  Starburst Wrapper Dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Sarie23 on: August 22, 2008 12:37:45 PM
I have seen this done a couple of times.
Anyway, I really wanted to have a unique dress for homecoming. Plus, I had been saving wrappers for quite awhile. I still probably have close to a thousand of them in all different colors.
Here is the dress I bought. I wish I could have gotten 2 of them because I really like it plain. It was really cheap ($10 maybe).

That was before the wrappers. About 8 hours later - and mostly on the day of Homecoming last year - the finished product:

((yay for pictures that I look horrible in xD))

And one of it hanging up after the dance.

5  T-Shirt Tube Dress. in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Sarie23 on: August 21, 2008 10:50:27 PM
I was really interested in finding a use for some of the t-shirts that no longer fit me. I actually found a tutorial that caught my eye a couple months ago, but I didn't actually start it until just a few days ago. And, guess what?! I finished it! So, here is my T-Shirt dress:

[[tutorial can be found here: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=161465.0]]

This is the first clothing item that I have ever sewn.
Sure, I've sewn Starburst wrappers onto a dress and made some alteration to an old homecoming dress, but this is the first thing I have actually put together. I'm really happy with it.

By the way, I will get pictures of those 2 other dresses that I just mentioned.

Thanks for looking  Cheesy

6  Pop.Tart Cell Phone Cozy in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Sarie23 on: August 20, 2008 05:49:04 PM

I wanted a place to store my cell phone [[and I made one for my digital camera as well with a different design - I have to find a picture of that one]]
This is made out of felt.
I got the idea for this particular style while searching for "cell phone cozies" on Deviant Art.

9  Clay monkey (from LPS), puppies, kitty, bunny, mini room... in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by Sarie23 on: February 18, 2007 02:44:53 PM

The blue and pink monkey was modeled off of a toy from the Littlest Pet Shop toys. The snowman and Furby are in another post with the original objects that I modeled them after.
