1  Felt Cocoon Necklaces in Felting: Completed Projects by GirlMadchen on: March 31, 2009 04:02:41 PM
Thought I'd post some of my latest felt jewellery creations. These are called felt cocoons. Each cocoon has an object inside. The first, a little owl inhabitant! The second, a felt ball in contrasting vibrant teal. Enjoy!

2  My Felted Yarn Ball Necklace in Felting: Completed Projects by GirlMadchen on: February 20, 2009 01:31:42 AM
This was inspired by sublokes "felted rug" project/thread here... Smiley I got very excited by the idea of felted yarn balls, so I tried making some myself from various types of leftover yarn (wool, alpaca, mohair and blends of these)... it was hard work, but I ended up with some balls I was happy with and made this necklace. I hope you like it. It's asymmetrical, meaning I've strung the beads from smallest to biggest, and the closure is on the side.

3  Re: Big Blue Beret *pattern in Knitting: Completed Projects by GirlMadchen on: February 01, 2009 07:39:47 PM
i finished my BBB a few weeks ago, although it is summer here, and we've just had a record heatwave, so I don't really feel like wearing it. Unless I want to end up in hospital that its! I made it in a nice, slightly stripey Vero 100% wool yarn in shades of blue, teal and purple. Made some mods to make the hat bigger and changes needle sizes as well.

4  my green felt cuff in Felting: Completed Projects by GirlMadchen on: February 01, 2009 04:40:06 PM
Hi all - long time no post... seems I've been too busy making lots of things (music, felting, knitting, food!) to post, and my computer has suffering from major issues of late... anyway, I'm getting back into the internet crafting community and wanted to share this item with you all. I think it's pretty original and cool in a kooky kind of way.

I hope you like it. I also make brooches and necklaces out of the same kind of sushi felt pieces, called felt clouds.

5  Clapotis/Cup-o-tea in Knitting: Completed Projects by GirlMadchen on: December 22, 2005 05:26:30 AM
Just kidding around. My boyfriend has renamed this project the "cup-o-tea". I'm just glad to have finished it. Knitted in handpaintedyarns.com merino worsted in "dusty", oh what a beautiful colour! About 3 1/3 skeins used. I have 4 skeins of "sealing wax" to make another. It was lovely and simple to knit, but took a little long for my liking... BUT, it feels utterly divine to wear...

6  Eyelet skirt from Knitty in Knitting: Completed Projects by GirlMadchen on: October 21, 2005 06:24:38 PM
Well, this was finished about 6 months ago, but I haven't had the chance to get any pics taken before now. I'm really happy with this skirt and I wear it a lot. I knitted it out of Katia Jeans Idea in the red colourway.

7  Re: mr dangly - knitted monkey (with pattern) in Knitting: Completed Projects by GirlMadchen on: October 17, 2005 06:00:58 PM

Here's the Mr Dangly that I knitted for my boyfriend for his birthday (which was yesterday). I made him look like a male White-cheeked Gibbon, as I'd also sponsored a gibbon at the zoo for my boyfriend as another present!
