1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Gigantic Round Bag on: July 15, 2006 10:29:39 PM
I made this bag the other day, experimenting with a round shape.  This is just a first prototype -- I'm hoping to make it shorter and fatter with more depth.  The peacock print is from a thrift store dress I found.  The strap is adjustable so that that it can be worn on one shoulder, or across the body.  ITS BIG!

2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / The most beautiful summer tote you have ever seen! on: July 09, 2006 10:25:39 AM
Or maybe I'm just tooting my own horn on that one.  This one turned out incredibly well.  I always find that when I'm making a bag I always run into a problem here or there but this one went along really smoothly!  Hooray hooray hooray.  It features my latest idea for bags -- the cellphone pocket.  Since I love using big bags I always end up digging through to find my cellphone or keys.  I attached a hanging pocket close to the top of the bag to rectify this problem.

3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Gocco Printed Zipper Pouch on: July 05, 2006 08:17:54 PM
I made this great little black lined zipper pouch and screenprinted with my print gocco.  This was my first time using my gocco and it was so so neat!

And this is the lining...
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Great Wrap Shirt on: June 28, 2006 11:20:32 PM
I made this about a year ago for my portfolio for a fashion design program.  It's a wrap shirt ( I can't remember the pattern name/number) but its what I was most proud of so I thought I'd share:

5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Roomy Pleated Summer Bag, so fantastic. on: June 28, 2006 08:54:58 AM
I made this bag a couple weeks ago and it turned out so well that I'm going to keep making them. It has a lined zipper pocket on the inside and closes with a magnetic snap.  I used a decorators fabric for the exterior so it holds its shape well!

I found a really great vintage flower pin that I attached -- I think it completes the whole look!  Let me know what you think!
6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Cupcake Cuisine Wristlets on: June 20, 2006 02:11:04 AM
Here are some funny little wristlets I made.
7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / The evolution of Fashion -- Mens Blazer to Handbag on: April 08, 2006 11:52:28 PM
I often get inspired for handbags I make through current clothing trends, as well as the construction of various basic garments.  Here is a handbag I made out of a men's wool blazer.  The flap is actually the collar of the jacket and I utilized both the original wool exterior and polyester lining for the purse.  The strap is made of a leather belt.
Here is the original jacket:
Here is the finished Handbag:
There is a zippered pocket on the inside:
8  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / money orders? on: March 20, 2006 12:59:46 AM
Sorry for being completely aloof, but what is a moneyorder, how do they work and what are the pros and cons of accepting them?

9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Round Bag with welt pocket on: March 19, 2006 08:49:41 PM
I drafted the pattern for this bag the other night and I think it turned out quite well.  Its the first welt pocket I've put in a bag.  I also put a pleat in the front and back to give the bag a bit more shape.  What do you all think?
10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Pattern-free Skirt! on: June 10, 2004 12:16:12 AM
Having the urge to make something wearable today, I hit up the fabric store, bought some fabric and with the help of an old skirt of mine, managed to come up with this.   Grin
