1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Romantic CD on: October 18, 2006 10:30:59 AM
Next week my long distance boyfriend is coming down to stay for a week, and on wednesday, I've got this big romantic 'dinner date' planned in my bedroom. We'll be sitting on the floor, on cushions around a little table, and eating pizza and chips (not very romantic Tongue but still) and after dinner, I want us to dance.

So I need some slow music that we can dance to together. I'm making a CD, but I have no idea what sort of romantic 'love' songs to put on there. Please help!!!

Also, what can I do to make the room romantic? at the moment I've got candles, fairy lights, rose petals to go on the bed. Is there anything else?

2  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Healthy Recipes? on: September 14, 2006 06:16:05 AM
Heya, I'm looking for some very healthy recipes that I can try. I'm a really fussy eater, but I'm going to promise myself that I will try everything anyone suggests on here....apart from fish, or tomatoes.

I'm looking for meals, snacks and deserts Smiley

Anyone got any ideas?
3  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / How to make a picture two tonal with no detail, just outline on: August 01, 2006 05:14:03 PM
I'm trying to make a stencil for a pillow cover I'm embroidering but the picture I want to stencil on, I need to turn it into just black and white lines, with no/little detail.

I have paint shop pro 7 and was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction of how to do it, please?

4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / 80th Birthday on: July 24, 2006 05:23:55 AM
I'm looking for something to make my Nan for her 80th birthday! It's got to be something special. Does anyone have any good ideas?
5  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Dream Catcher on: July 13, 2006 01:23:09 PM
I made this dream catcher for my boyfriend. He has very bad dreams so I thought I would make him one.

What do you think?

I couldn't think what to have as the dangly bit so I used a pipe cleaner similar to the one I used to make the dream catching bit, and twisted it round a pencil. I put beads on it and at the end I pit a pom pom and some feathers. The pom pom holds the feathers on, aswell as the pipe cleaner twisted around them.

Is it okay?
6  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Need a quick simple idea on: June 17, 2006 03:02:31 PM
Hiya, I'm looking for a quick simple idea of something to make my boyfriend for our 6 month aniversary!

We're in a long distance relationship and I'm going to see him next Sunday, for a week. So I have 7 days to make something.

At the moment, I made a big box and covered it with Gold wrapping paper and red ribbon. It has a bow on top too Smiley

Here's a pic of the box

This is the inside.

Inside is like wrapping paper curled. I've bought some things to go inside:
- A watch
- A duck which lights up (we have a thing about ducks)
- A magnetic heart
- An american-like sign saying "Cheer up honey pie" because I often say that to him
- A little blue stone with 'hope' engraved into it

Anyways, so I'm looking for something to make, as I said. It needs to be acheivable in 7 days, and it needs to be able to fit in ^ that box. Smiley

Does anyone have any ideas please?

He likes fish, the sims 2, the woods, most animals, desperate housewives, taking photo's on his digi cam, drawing, painting...stuff like that. Does anyone have any ideas?

EDIT: He also likes anime/manga. Especially akira

EDIT #2: I've found this box.

What could I do with it? I could decorate it, then maybe fill it with something? What do you think I should fill it with. Hmm...
7  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Stuck for Ideas on: May 28, 2006 03:25:19 PM
(Just for the record, I feel bad for making 2 posts in this section in the same day  Embarrassed - Sorry)

Anyways, I'm stuck for ideas on what i can eat.

I'm a very fussy eater and I don't really like too much texture in my foods. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas of things I could eat. Preferably healthy main meals and lunchbox ideas.

Things I Know I like:
- Rice
- Pasta
- Broccoli
- Peas
- Ham
- Chicken
- Pitta Bread
- Cheese
- Yoghurt (without bits)
- Cauliflour
- Sunflour Seeds
- Most nuts
- Raisins
- Bananas
- Apples
- Pears
- Strawberries
- Raspberries

Things I know I DON'T like:
- Tomatoes
- Fish
- Lettuce
- Cucumber
- Red meat
- Duck/goose ...
- Carrots
- Anything classed as Salad
- Onion

So if anyone has any ideas what-so-ever, I would be eternally greatful, as it's hard when you don't eat much.
8  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / I'm making a recipe book and need recipe ideas on: May 28, 2006 10:37:19 AM
Hi guys.

I'm making my Dad a recipe book for fathers day and was wondering if you could give me one or a few of your favourite recipe's please, with a list of ingredients and instructions as to how to make it please?

He's not really fussy about what to cook. But it would be nice if I could get like some recipes of starters, main courses, and deserts, to like make the recipe book follow on, if that makes sense.

He's not vegetarian or anything, so all meat and fish ideas are ideal too.

Thanks!! Cheesy I hope I can get lots of recipes in there Cheesy

9  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Father's Day / I need an idea for my Dad's fathers day gift. on: May 28, 2006 09:36:13 AM
I need an idea for my dad for June 18th.

I don't have that much money, but have about 10 to spend on him.

Me and my Dad aren't really close, and don't really talk much. He likes:

- Chocolate
- Really big jigsaw puzzles with loads of pieces
- Gardening
- Cooking
- Barbequing
- Watching Movies
- Chardoney (sp), but I'm not old enough to buy alcohol

I'm not really sure what else.

Does anyone have any ideas, please?
10  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Glue on Bottles on: May 27, 2006 08:23:22 PM
It's always stumped me as to how to get glue off of bottles, like drink bottles, and when there are stickers/price labels on things you buy. However much I try to soak them and scrub them they never seem to come off.

I have a very nice pot which came with sticky things on to hold it shut and I want to reuse the pot but I can't get the stickyness off of it.

Does anyone have any idea how I can do this without damaging the pot? (It's a plastic pot, just incase that matters?)

Thanks in advance.
