1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Zebra print skirt and shoes. on: October 27, 2006 01:32:30 PM
Yay. I lovelovelove zebra print.

I took a pair of fake Converse, and painted on zebra stripes (obviously).

This was a hideous V-neck sleeveless top I bought which was several sizes too big and smelt funny. I sewed it to make a skirt and added the lace cause 1)I like lace, and 2)my friend said I looked like a hooker in it  Grin

What do you think? I was thrilled with myself for actually finishing them all the way through Cheesy
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Two skirts and a bag. on: May 23, 2006 11:26:18 PM
My first post ^^
I'm not a really really good sewer, unfortunately.
I'm a good lurker though. I've been browsing these boards for awhile now, and I figured I might as well post.
Please ignore the terrible terrible quality of the pictures. I'm not photogenic at the best of times  Angry and taking them at night didn't help at all.

This was made with a lot of help from my mother >.<

I'm so so so proud of this one! We were shopping for fabric for my Model UN costume, and I saw a bunch of fabrics I wanted so I could make some petticoat/skirts. I made this without a pattern, and I put a zip in and darts, which I'd never done before. Plus I didn't get sick of it half way through. I have a short attention span...not good for big long projects >.< And I made it all by myself, with no help Cheesy

This is a bag I made. First pic is the front, second is the back. My friend and I wanted to make neck-tie skirts, but we got bored with them because the ties went all wonky and to one side, and because we hadn't done anything to the linings of them, the skirts would have been super heavy. So, we decided to turn them into bags ^^
Neck-tie skirts were how I first found these forums actually  Grin
