21  Re: Sock Monkey/ Sock Critter Swap Round 6 - Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Jen Sews on: March 23, 2013 03:32:11 PM
Here is the sock monkey I sent to lydiaharper.  She likes her so I am happy.  You can't see her little black shorts.   She is inspired by Sookie from True Blood.

And I sent some headbands from her pintrest.

22  Re: Anything Goes Tiny House Swap, rd. 2 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Jen Sews on: March 23, 2013 03:21:02 PM
Oh no!  I am so sorry to hear that!  I have problems with anxiety too.  I am glad that being home should help.   My partner dreadlady was able to inform me that she was in a car accident.   Sad  Please send positive thoughts/prayers her way too!  I am posting pictures of the felt and needle felted house I sent.  The lighting in the pictures is terrible and too blue, but oh well.

littlehajerika's flag arrived yesterday!   Here is my bad phone pic.  Sad  My husband lost the unusual charging cable to our nice camera.  Anyway,  I absolutely love it!!   She did some hand dyeing to make the background ombre and some tea dyeing of the lace.   I love the verse and the fabric flower too.  Thank you very much!!

25  Re: Christmas Stocking Swap Round 8 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Jen Sews on: December 12, 2012 07:54:53 AM
I am so excited to share my stocking from StickerChic!!  I love the batik fabric she found.  Smiley

Aren't the snowmen so cute?

She made me a great Morsbag off of my pinterest.   I am trying to get or make enough to go plastic free on even my biggest shopping trips.

A great little card wallet in some of my favorite colors.

I was so excited to open this!  I love and collect nativity's.  This one is so cute and very well stiched.  I guess I could put it on the tree but I decied to put it on the wall right outside our home office.

Some extras.  I already hung up the snowflakes in the windows behind our christmas tree.

She also made some really cute salt dough ornaments.  Unfortunately all but one were broken.  I was able to repair 3 of them and the 4 are on my tree!

And best of all a mini quilt!   I <3 it so much!   It is in pride of place above the fireplace mantel.  She did such perfect quilting!  Thank you very much StickerChic for swapping with me!

My awesome gift from chughes225!!!   She said she is new to this medium, but I think she must be joking.  It is gorgeous!

I also received my amazing fabric bowl from fishstix43.  Sorry about the dirty table outside.  I love the colors and the size and the shape and everything really!   Thank you very much.

I could only find an in process picture.  I hope that slothy will still post picture, but here you can get the idea!  I think the squares started out at 1 and 1/2 inches and ended up about 1 inch.   I was surprised that such a little quilt still needed so many pieces!

Thanks for the nice words aboout the merrmaid. It was fun to make. And really stretched my boundaries. I'm just happy Jen Sews like it! Smiley

And in my haste to leave for vacation I forgot to put uo the pics of her quilt to me.  Needless to say, it is perfect for me. And Jen, if you would like to post please do. Otherwise pics will wait til friday or sunday. But I will get them up. Smiley

For some reason  I had a lot of trouble uploading pictures but here they are finally!. Slothy took everything I love into consideration with this quilt,  I couldn't stop smiling for over an hour and my cheeks hurt!  She named it "I see you!"  This is definitely one of my favorite swap items ever.

I wish I was a better photographer to show off how wonderful I think this quilt is.   It is hand dyed, hand painted and amazingly embellished with ribbon, beads and buttons.  Also I think the quiliting is just perfect!  Thank you so much Slothy.  Kiss

29  Re: Read to Me, Mommy Round 3 GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by Jen Sews on: June 05, 2012 07:25:54 PM
First of all I have to apologise for the poor picture quality of these pictures.  I love the packages everyone has gotten!  I really like the princess and the pea  Smiley

We got our packages from Australia already!  Quasior sent 2 of my boys some great Australian books and really cute pen rolls.  They love coloring so they are very happy.  We also received little koala key chains and an Australia pen.  Thank you very much!

Rick with his stuff!

Kyle with his  Smiley

One roll.

We got one of ours!!!  Thank you very much pjr107!
My good camera got too much sand in it so I had to take some not so great pictures. Sorry.  Sad

First the case!

Inside were many detective tools.

Also 2 books (one not pictured)

And an angry birds bag.

He is over the moon with it and has already started reading a book!

He tells me he is a real detective now.  How funny that we chose similar themes!
