72  Sistine Chapel Flats in Shoes: Completed Projects by MargiePoo on: July 24, 2006 03:54:36 PM
I was lucky enough to have two June 1970 issues of National Geographic with fold outs of the Sistine chapel.  Mix that with some ballet flats and mod podge and you have glorious foot wear.

The close-up.  You can see God and Man touching fingers.

Thanks for looking....

73  Arden the sock monkey in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by MargiePoo on: July 24, 2006 03:37:13 PM
I was inspired by all of the glorious monkey's in the recent sock monkey challege.  So I finnally did it my self.  I think he is soooooooo cute if i don't say so myself.

He is so talented.  He can already ride a bike and he is only two days old.

I branded his butt.  Haha.  Like a Cabbage Patch Kid.

I'm so proud of this dress.  I bought 5 large tank tops from the dollar store.  They were apparently "defective" but suited me just fine.  The pattern came from Generation T and was pretty easy to make concidering it was a level 5.  ow i just have to figure out where i could where this too.

All the t-shirts layed out

The finnished product

And my action shot

75  Soccer T-shirt Handbag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by MargiePoo on: June 27, 2006 08:11:15 PM
This is a bag i made out of a child size soccer t-shirt my sister bought from the thrift store. Yay thrift stores!  I got the pattern out of Generation T.  I had to actually make it smaller since it was a childs shirt.  But it turned out to be the perfect size.

It is actually a little bigger than it looks since I took this picture on a funny angle.

76  Yet another use for capri suns in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by MargiePoo on: June 26, 2006 09:45:35 PM
I have been racking my brain trying to come up with something else to do with all the capri sun packs I have saved up.  Already did the whole purse/wallet thing.  Then it hit me.  Capri Sun books.  It is pretty simple.  Just used two capri suns for the covers, and orange cardstock sewn together with a coptic stitch (still trying to prefect that).  So enjoy.  Try it yourself....
