I hope this allowed! I told my mom about this site and she asked me to post these for her. Its some things she's done around her house. I think theyre great.

Her Homemade Gazing balls. She took two bowling balls she got from yard sales, painted them white, and used silcone I believe?? to glue those pretty flat marbles to it. And yes, that is a BLUE BUNDT PAN!! the blue one is sitting on! It looks like a gumball machine to me hehe

My mom took an old cafe chair she got alongggggggggggg time ago thats been sitting in her yard for years covered in rust, repainted it and turned it into a planter. I love it and I wish I had an old metal chair to do this to!!

Hope you enjoy!! Roll Eyes Grin Cheesy

24  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Newbie post! First apron, first sewing project in over 10 yrs on: June 02, 2006 02:09:40 PM
Grin Im so addicted to this site!! I finally got a sewing machine the other day from a very nice person on freecycle. Its a singer just like the one I first learned to sew on when I was 6. At first it didnt work, but after I realized the tension was all screwy, it worked like a breeze and I just HAD to make something!!!

I've been wanting an apron for a while, so I found this groovy fabric on clearance at walmart, along with one of the So Easy apron patterns. I modified the pattern ALOT. I had to make it bigger since Im a bigger gal, and I added some ruffles, and i made it [email protected]

I know, I know... its a bit wonky in areas...but, it was like 11 pm when I started and about 2 am when I finished it. It was something I shouldnt have tried to tackle just yet, bc Im 23 and havent sewn anything since I was about 8.. but I wanted it sooo bad!! Hope you guys enjoy and I'll be posting other things pretty soon!!   Celeste
