1  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: What to do with a metal heart shaped chocolate box on: February 19, 2013 05:10:03 PM
I had one of those.. I punched holes in the top and used it to make char cloth (for fire kits), but I'm thinking it might get a glitter coat like so many thrift store shoes! (with lights in those little holes!)
2  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: What to do with old socks with holes? on: February 19, 2013 05:07:40 PM
Snip off the feet, add a thumb hole = wristwarmers! I've done this a few times with those socks that have cute designs on the ankles. =) It can be a bit tricky with really stretchy ones, but they're super toasty!
3  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Edible butterflies on: February 21, 2012 07:23:26 PM
Wow.. that's really cool! I watched the video on their website, it looks pretty simple! I wonder, do you think this would work with molds sold for candy making? (just a thin layer painted in them of course.) I have lots that I just don't ever use.
4  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: Steampunk Charms on: June 29, 2010 06:13:00 PM
These are really great! I really like the way you've used the chain in them, much more interesting than if they just had an eyelet, which was then attached to a chain. (and i adore the tiny key)
I'm also curious about what kind of resin you used, as i'm looking into trying a different kind of it soon myself.
5  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: pc pendant with tattoo sticker on: April 20, 2010 03:54:00 PM
I love the colors in that! What method did you use to adhere the tattoo to the clay? I've tried few different ways of doing that with varied success.
6  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Re: Shaving Cream Cards-- With Tutorial--MUST TRY! on: January 21, 2010 04:08:12 PM
My friends and I tried this the other night with some super old shaving cream i found around the house. it was really cool!!! however the room rather strongly smelled of the cream, and the paper still does. Some people we've shown it to seem to like that, but i'll probably try and find a less-scented one for next time. Also, the paper took forever to dry! (we used watercolor paper.)
7  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Chinese dumplings (jiaozi) - Lotsa pics on: January 06, 2010 11:32:42 PM
This looks delicious, and is definitely tagged as my next cooking excursion!  Thanks for the tips on frying them, i had a fried dumpling for the first time yesterday and thought it was great, so i was thinking of trying that. =)
The only thing I'm confused about is the cabbage, what is the difference between a chinese cabbage and a regular one, and are regular markets likely to have them? (cabbage.. one of the few plants I know nothing about!)
8  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: NEW Rock Pets/Totem Things. PICTURE MORBID OBESE on: July 21, 2009 04:29:22 PM
Ooooh, those are adorable! Are they that granitex clay, or your own mix? Looks like they have glitter in there too!
9  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Watercolor Stencil Portrait + TUTORIAL on: May 11, 2009 10:27:11 PM

10  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: Easter Eggs on: April 11, 2009 03:53:23 PM
Those are so cool! What are they over? Actual eggshells or those wooden eggs from craft stores are the only things I can think of. =)
