9  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Hey, my tins are leaky! (candlemaking) on: November 11, 2004 12:14:39 PM
Hi Everyone!
I've recently acquired a dozen metal tea tins that I'd love to pour candles into....the problem: They leak a bit!
My idea is to fold parchment paper to line the bottom and halfway up the sides to kind of contain the melted wax while it hardens. Do you think it would work? Will it eventually be a fire hazard? I was also thinking wax paper might work instead. Thanks ahead of time for all your responses! I heart Craftster!

p.s. In case you're interested:
I plan to make tea scented candles with real tea leaves in the wax and decoupage the outside with this great paper my girlfriend brought me from Italy!

Stitching on cardboard! You're a genius! I've been making journals off and on for like 2 years! Why didn't I think of that?! I guess I figured my machine wouldn't handle it. I see small address book gifts in my future! Nice job!
