I love the composition of the pillow and how you put it all together.  The colors and the fringe really give it that exotic flair too.  Great job!   Smiley

I'm a wuss so I wash my embroidery in my washing machine on cold/cold with the "hand wash cycle".  I use regular detergent and have to say I've never had any problems with DMC threads bleeding at all, even on the snowy-white tea towels that you can buy from Jenny.

Your sister-in-law is a very lucky lady!  I love the personal touches you added with the Kool Aid man and I'm sure she will too.

A quick question- what is the difference between a raised satin stitch and a satin stitch?

Also, some thoughts on liquids we could use for that lady carrying the pitcher, how about yellow for lemonade or brown for iced tea?  I'm gonna have to try that one myself.

You could also just roll up excess fabric and then use a spare needle to pin it.

LOL that's great! I really should make something for my Trogdor-obessed husband like that.

That is very cute.  I love the seahorse.

Momwith3kids, I learned the hard way that most people don't really appreciate handiwork.  Now I only give it to people that I'm sure will appreciate it (like my Mom) or I make sure that it's a really quick and easy project and I take a lot of pictures of it (because chances are I will never see it again).

I love the silvery wings!  Great job Smiley

Very cute without being too "cutesy" (a problem with a lot of baby stuff I find).  How did it go over at the shower?

That just looks spectacular!  I love the way that ribbon really adds a lot of dimension to the designs.  Did you do this from a kit at all, or did you pick out all that lovely ribbon yourself?
