1  Pink and Brown Thread Necklace in Crochet: Completed Projects by joanieponytail on: March 10, 2008 03:30:23 PM
This is for a swap on Swap-bot. The recipient said pink and brown is one of her favorite color combinations and I just happened to have thread in those two colors.

The pattern is in the Nov/Dec 2007 issue of Crochet Today.
I think it came out looking very nice. Hope she likes it.

2  Re: Yo-yo crochet a long? in Crochetalongs by joanieponytail on: January 28, 2008 05:28:53 PM
Here are two more bags I made as Christmas presents. I forgot to take the pictures when they were new so there is a bit of wear.
For my mom:

And for my daughter:

Thank you so much for sharing this and the link and the tutorial. I made nine of the 1X6 boxes yesterday. Here are three of them.

Whew! One more problem solved.

5  Mr Peanut Man in Winter Holidays by joanieponytail on: December 10, 2007 06:54:24 PM
First, let me say that I did not make him, but I wanted to share him with you all. I have had him about 20 years, a gift from my Grandma. I think he is adorable.

Hope you can read the (actual typewritten) tag.

6  Some of my ATC's in Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) by joanieponytail on: October 29, 2007 08:07:52 PM
These are some ATC's that I have made. The first two are abstract drawings.

The next two are collaged from bits of paper trimmed from fliers from school and church.

The last one is a paper clip attached with beaded thread.

Hope you like them.

7  Painted buttons in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by joanieponytail on: October 15, 2007 07:40:10 PM
These are some old buttons that I painted with fingernail polish. I know most of you out there probably have much more interesting colors of nail polish.

I got the idea from a wonderful book called fabric leftovers by D'Arcy-Jean Milne.

8  Bag from jacket in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by joanieponytail on: October 15, 2007 07:30:44 PM
This is a bag I made for my mom from a hand-me-down jacket that my aunt gave me. I moved the buttons from the jacket into the stitching pattern that was already there. The lining is from a hand-me-down shirt from my mom.

9  Snowman Pin in Crochet: Completed Projects by joanieponytail on: October 13, 2007 06:44:12 PM
Here is a pin I made using this pattern:

I made a few changes to the pattern to make it work for me in thread. I used sc for the second row of the small circle and for the part of the edging that goes around the large circle. I also used felt for the hat and nose since I didn't have thread in those colors.

10  Glasses Cases from Reclaimed Yarn in Needlework: Completed Projects by joanieponytail on: October 13, 2007 06:32:53 PM
These are some eye/sun glass cases I made from plastic canvas (again) and yarn I reclaimed from a thrift store sweater.

I don't stitch all the way to bottom fold, just leave about an inch open (I do overcast the edge) so the plastic canvas doesn't crack.
