ah, thank you everyone.
to anyone planning on doing this project,
it takes more sewing than expected,
especially if you're not completely flat-chested.
i learned the hard way.

excuse the boobage and the stoned look, but the shirt came out perfectly!

I used the cover project on Generation T.
14  Washington / Washington: Peninsula / seattle! on: June 05, 2006 05:46:44 PM
where are some good places in seattle for crafts, retro clothing patterns, and fabric?
I know there's got to be a few that I'm not aware of.

I've wanted this dress ever since I spotted it on Ryann Donnelly from Schoolyard Heroes a year ago- hah.
So thanks for bringing it up!
16  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / bloodstains. on: June 04, 2006 10:48:22 PM
so, i'm thinking about doing a project much like one I saw and was inspired by on here, but I forgot the link.
basically, it's going to be a white cotton 3/4 sleeved fitted workshirt with an anatomical heart where it's supposed to be.
I think it would look very cool with faux bloodstains (Not too into mutilating myself just for fashion's sake!), the only problem is, I need an easy/cheap way to do it and help with making it look very random.
Any ideas?
PS: I would also like to know places to get cheap shirts fitting the description above.

thanks everyone!
I ended up getting the mccalls 5024, and so far it's working out really well.
I will be sure and post the finished product.

20  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / leather jacket on: May 05, 2006 09:05:16 PM
so, about a year ago, i bought a leather jacket at a secondhand place. It's actually very cool, except kind of plain and the shoulders are really square. What should i do to solve both problems?
