1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / let the pow wows begin on: July 09, 2008 09:20:01 PM

Now I know why these cost so much.  This was a lot of fabric, a lot of sewing, a lot of seam ripping, and a few pattern modifications, but overall such a fun result.  I can't wait for my nephews to visit so all the boys can enjoy their new hideaway.

This was from a butterick pattern and then I added some of my own tweaks.
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / bringing fanny back on: December 24, 2007 06:00:07 AM
my new favorite thing I just made

It flips open and has one large pocket and one divided pocket for my phone etc.  The closure is a d ring, I took off an old belt I had.

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Inspired by a button, a post, and an awesome 99 cent pattern sale. . . on: June 04, 2006 08:08:53 AM
too bad it dosen't fit but I love it, love it, love it.  This is the first pattern I've ever done.  I will be making another one that fits.  I did this one on a size 14 off the pattern, it's pinned in the back so you can see how it is supposed to look.

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / skirt-a-licious! on: May 14, 2006 11:36:28 PM
I finally made my first skirt for me. . . I cheated a little and bought a skirt panel from JoAnn's.  The bottom is still incomplete b/c I didn't buy enough bias tape but I'm in love with it and I had to share.  I think I'm addicted to sewing.

The ribbon is just tied on for flair.
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / pretty in pink on: May 12, 2006 01:30:05 PM
Made this for my little niece.  It will be her birthday gift tomorrow.  That's my son modeling . . . sshhh. . . . dad dosen't know.

The pink gingham is from a curtain panel and the white was just scrap fabric from a costume.
