2  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / I'm Coming! (img heavy!) on: October 01, 2007 02:37:21 PM
I'm in a long distance relationship with a guy who makes me smile.
I like to doodle little things for him everyday.
Here are a few:

I know those looks really sketchy and crappy, but really I was just going for subject matter.

and for fun heres us

oh,oh! bonus points. I made my corsage in that photo.

or this one could be us too:

I'm always freezing my butt off and he's always hot. He calls me his icecube I call him my oven.
Its something kind of weird and extremely magic all rolled into one.

excuse my babbling.

5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / A Gift for Greige on: November 23, 2006 04:59:35 PM
So, my best friends name is Greige, and I have a slight idea of what to get him, but not really. So I was wondering if I could get some help?

He loves:
-dinosaurs (but i've already made him a dinosaur hoodie, and a dinosaur plushie)
-John Prine
-Bob Dylan
-Every instrument known to man, ever.
-He's big on theatre and singing, but its hard for me to think of a gift incorporating these things without them being intensley nerdy. (Not complaining, i'm a thespian myself. But still...)
-The Last Five Years
-Sweeney Todd
-John Mayer
-his favorite color is green

any other questions I can answer definatley. I just really want to make sure I can figure out a variety of things I can make him, he's a really great guy and goes out of his way to do things for me, I just want to show him he is loved!

6  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Sweet Crafted Revenge? on: September 30, 2006 12:34:23 PM

I hate my exboyfriend.
with a passion.
he is a total jerk.

For one, back when we were dating he stood me up SEVEN TIMES, and then he complained to me about how HE hated getting stood up! Can you believe the nerve?!

For two, he used to ALWAYS bother me about how tall I am, and how short he is it isn't my fault i'm 5'10 and he's 5'4. He needs to get over himself.

For three, he's always telling me to "rephrase that so it actually makes sense."

For four, when I told him I wanted to major in English he said, "what the fuck. Weird." WHAT A JERK!

For five, all of my friends hated him. I can't believe I didn't listen to him.

I can't believe I ever dated that jerk!

So, I suppose what I am asking is there anything I could craft to get over this big loser? I want to get my mind off of how much he hurt me. And how stupid I was for being with him. Anything vengeful is certainly great. But I haven't got anything of his, just so you know. No shirts to attack.

Every idea is definatley welcome!
thanks and love
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Giraffe Attack! Gawwwhh!!! on: September 23, 2006 11:16:13 PM
I got this idea from this board: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=109762.0

anyway, giraffes are AMAZING and what better way to show your love then by wearing it on your head?

Sorry for the poor quality of my webcam, but clearer pictures expected soon!
I used a bright yellow hoodie from the little boys department ($8 Whoooo!!) and some yellow and brown fabric. The "head-bobbers" (as my friend, Greige put it.) are stuffed with polyfil and sewn on, same goes for the ears. The back left shoulder of the hoodie has a big brown heart (for a spot!) sewn on. Oh, and there are two big brown buttons for eyes. It didn't take long, but for a while there the headbobbers wanted to give me some trouble.

Either way, since I stand about 6ft tall, I make a good sized baby giraffe. Iddn't that neat? I want to go make giraffe friends at the zoooo...

Anyway! Imput is good, especially because it's 2 AM in  my land, and I am bored...bored...bored.

8  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Hot Patootie, Bless my soul!! Columbia Rocky Horror Costume! on: August 06, 2006 08:20:31 PM

I wore this to a dance themed "Stars Through the Ages" and it is designed to look like Columbia from The Rocky Horror Picture Show. My friend, Greige dressed as Frankenfurter and my friend Sami dressed as Magenta. It was so much fun.

Sorry for the one picture, I just didn't feel up for photography that night, I suppose.  Tongue
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Panta!! :) on: July 28, 2006 11:28:52 AM
So, I am ultimatley sad because I lack the ability to knit or crochet. And I really really really want a panta. I live in an area where they won't allow me to wear hats in my school, and it really gets me down because I get so cold! I just want a panta, because then they can leave me alone.
I was wondering, andI am terribley sorry if this is the wrong board, but I wanted to know if anyone would be willing to trade me a panta for something crafty nonknitted or crocheted, since i'm really bad at those things. Honestly, I messed up a scarve! It's really very depressing.
Thank you all so much!
10  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Records twist and bend and make beautiful things. on: June 28, 2006 06:31:53 AM
Me and my friend Bertina made several record accessories this weekend, one being a purse and the other two being these earrings and cuff.
