1  Re: Questions About Hairstyles! in Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions by deepfriedkids on: October 16, 2008 08:30:43 PM
I am going to the Navy ball on Saturday and I was wondering if anybody knew a simple hairstyle i could do for long, layered hair. I don't really have the time or money to go to the salon, so suggestions would be much appreciated!

This is a much more recent picture, circa 5 minutes ago! Ignore the blurry webcam effect, if possible Tongue

The dress I am wearing has an intricate back to it, so maybe an updo?
Either way!!
Thanks Cheesy

2  I'm Coming! (img heavy!) in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by deepfriedkids on: October 01, 2007 02:37:21 PM
I'm in a long distance relationship with a guy who makes me smile.
I like to doodle little things for him everyday.
Here are a few:

I know those looks really sketchy and crappy, but really I was just going for subject matter.

and for fun heres us

oh,oh! bonus points. I made my corsage in that photo.

or this one could be us too:

I'm always freezing my butt off and he's always hot. He calls me his icecube I call him my oven.
Its something kind of weird and extremely magic all rolled into one.

excuse my babbling.

I can only sorta tell- did you also do a giraffe pattern on the rest?

Good job of using different materials all work sucessfully together!

Yes! There is little giraffe squares going along the side too. I'm not sure If I have a good picture of it... Hmm..

I don't know if you can see... but the squares go all down one side.

The back also has a little heart sewn in the corner.

7  Giraffe Attack! Gawwwhh!!! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by deepfriedkids on: September 23, 2006 11:16:13 PM
I got this idea from this board: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=109762.0

anyway, giraffes are AMAZING and what better way to show your love then by wearing it on your head?

Sorry for the poor quality of my webcam, but clearer pictures expected soon!
I used a bright yellow hoodie from the little boys department ($8 Whoooo!!) and some yellow and brown fabric. The "head-bobbers" (as my friend, Greige put it.) are stuffed with polyfil and sewn on, same goes for the ears. The back left shoulder of the hoodie has a big brown heart (for a spot!) sewn on. Oh, and there are two big brown buttons for eyes. It didn't take long, but for a while there the headbobbers wanted to give me some trouble.

Either way, since I stand about 6ft tall, I make a good sized baby giraffe. Iddn't that neat? I want to go make giraffe friends at the zoooo...

Anyway! Imput is good, especially because it's 2 AM in  my land, and I am bored...bored...bored.

8  Re: The Fall Ball/Invite your Partner 3 in The Swap Gallery by deepfriedkids on: September 16, 2006 05:57:46 AM
I got my swap pacakge from Fyberduck yesterday before opening night of my show, and let me tell you, the pantas she knit me were aweeesome!! I was freaking out so bad after i opened them, my best friend was there and said, "SETTLE DOWN LYNDZ!" Heheh

She knit me that out of some craaazy yarn called coconut. It's amazing. I wore it into the theatre that night and my best friend wore it to Applebees after the show, I wore this green one...

scary shot...

and all together now

She made me five! Five! I was so ecstatic, it was out of control. My friend Greige keeps taking them and wearing them. But they're all mine!! Oh and she sent me little duck things such as bubbles, bath beads (?), and GNOME GUM!!  Shocked

Thank you so much Fyberduck!! I loved everything x1000000000!!

9  Hot Patootie, Bless my soul!! Columbia Rocky Horror Costume! in Costumes: Completed Projects by deepfriedkids on: August 06, 2006 08:20:31 PM

I wore this to a dance themed "Stars Through the Ages" and it is designed to look like Columbia from The Rocky Horror Picture Show. My friend, Greige dressed as Frankenfurter and my friend Sami dressed as Magenta. It was so much fun.

Sorry for the one picture, I just didn't feel up for photography that night, I suppose.  Tongue

10  Re: My First! *kitty ears* _^ in Completed Projects by deepfriedkids on: June 28, 2006 08:54:43 AM
Fear not!
I would wear those generally wherever I felt like it. I mean, don't feel weird about it. I walk around everywhere in my town wearing this...

Even in June! And I live in Georgia.
Rock on.
I love your ears.
