35  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Re: YES ASIA AND ORDERING BOOKS on: September 26, 2006 02:50:26 PM
Huh Passing more info on aboutYesAsia and Amazonjp.  I found if you are interested in a book and YesAsia doesn't have a cover pic, copy and paste the ISBN (number only) to Amazon JP search.  Most of the books that "don't" have cover pics on YesAsia, I managed to see when I did this.  Just another hint for those who want to see covers to get a better idea of what the book is.  The reverse is true when finding a book on Amazon JP and you want to see if YesAsia carries it.   Wink

Hi Paperdaisies - where did you get the hair idea from?  Is it from another book or pattern?  I love the style and would like to use it for my doll.  Any suggestions or help is appreciated.  Hugs!!

Yeah those in the Continental US scores on shipping  Cry  Hawaii residents pay more for alot of things....but at least the cost to buy the books at YesAsia is the same....just have to spend $14 more to get free shipping....and that's cool with me.   Cool  Thanks IamSusie for the Crafting Japanese, I had them in my favs too.

When I make my felt mascot dolls, I use different types of yarns and threads.  When the doll is real small you might want to use Embroidery thread or thin type yarns.  Depending on what you want your doll to look like and how big the mascot is.  You can sew, hot glue, craft glue.  Most "craft" type glues can be used to glue hair or anything else on the doll.  Hope this helps!!

Yes, I have a Japanese Bookstore where I live in Hawaii, however to be honest....it costs alot more for me to buy it locally than to order from YesAsia.  And, YesAsia offers free shipping when purchasing $39 or more.  FYI - One book I bought locally cost me $7.95, YesAsia has the same book for $5.49.  So it's worth checking them out.
