I'm so so sorry I've taken so long to finally post the lovely hair goodies EmBem sent me!

First the group shot:

As much as I love this clip, unfortunately it came off the clip so I've got to glue it back.  It's so super fun though!

I love this headband, it's so bright and cozy!

These three are really fun!  Bright and cozy!  I especially love the yellow one!

These are my favorite!  I had the JarJar Binks one in and my brother made me change it, haha!

Thanks EMBEM!

I love everything!

I have found the good to way outweigh the bad. I had been bummed to find out my partner had flaked, but I ended up with an amazingly talented, thoughtful and generous angel. I don't think I have mentioned enough times how grateful I am that Goktrose stepped forward to be an angel!

And to angel a SECOND time!  THANK YOU GOKTROSE!!!!  I LOVE my parcel and am sending you a pm now!! =)

Ok, so I'm editing this post to add all my photos!  I loved everything that Gotkrose sent to me!  I'm so here we go!

First this awesome plate made from melted beads!  It's so cool!

A really cute tea wallet!

Two really awesome mug rugs!

I love this green.

This awesome purse!  I'm gonna use this for so many things!

Close up of the fabric:

She also sent this lovely bit of donut fabric that I'm going to use for a head band!

and all the lot together:

I swear this round has been so amazingly awesome!  I love all the hoops and have pinned a bunch!!

Now I'm gonna litter the board with the AWESOME hoop I received from average_fan!!

(I took these with my phone because low and behold my phone's megapixels is the same as my camera!  Huh)

Here's the whole shebang!

The lovely note she sent!  (I always mean to send detailed notes about why I did what I did but end up just sending cards, haha!)

The back of the hoop! (I know the suspense is building!)

The front of the hoop!

The type nerd in me is going crazy for how wonderful these stitches are!  It's such great helvetica!  She said she took it from my pinterest but this is so much nicer!

THANK YOU AVERAGE_FAN!  I luff this hoop so much!!  <3

26  Re: Dia de los Muertos / Mexican Folk Art Swap GALLERY (send outs 5/30) in The Swap Gallery by honeyd on: June 06, 2011 03:04:04 PM
I love all the parcels so far!!!

As Aisy mentioned we met up on Saturday at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in Manhattan (whew that's a mouthful!)  We had so much fun and are planning on setting up some monthly craft nights, thank you ERICA for partnering me up with such an awesome person!!

Now onto the photos!

the whole shebang!

She hand carved the skull on this altered tin.  I've never gotten one of these and it's awesome!  Even my aunt was super impressed.

And the inside is just as awesome!  She made me these lovely lip baums.  wow.  I've been using the Cotton Candy one all day yesterday and today.  I love the subtle tints she used, exactly my style!

She says her specialty are these awesome cake boxes!  I LOVE this one!  It fits perfectly in my room with my bright walls and funky style.

Inside!  It's so bright and fun!!  Love it!!

She decorated my bag with this skull stamp and made this awesome cake for my Asian Ball Joint Dolls.  (The cake box is a really good size for them too!)

The bag (I was so impressed with the stamp colors)

This was awesome!!!  Her first embroidery!  I couldn't believe she decided to give it away, but I'm happy she did because I'll be making it into a pillow case!

Group shot with my little doll!

Aisy and I on the Met steps!

THANK YOU!!!  I had such a good time in this swap!

And look!  A perfect fit:

She also sent along some delicious tea and fantastic handmade tea bags.  My mom has already invited the tea to live in our tea cabinet. =)  So I have no photos for those.

28  Re: one tiny star wars thing swap gallery! in The Swap Gallery by honeyd on: April 22, 2011 06:44:47 AM
I received the awesomest Tiny Star Wars Thing!

First she sent me this awesome little story to go along with my new Ewok:

I tried to follow her advice on where he'd hang but I was wearing a dress so instead of my pocket he hung out by my laptop:

He decided he was hungry so he enjoyed some jelly beans:

And then it was time to go so he scurried into my bag so as not to get left behind:

And a close up shot:

Thank you so much Cadet120433!  I love him and am so glad to have a little friend!

29  Re: Peacock Swap GALLERY (SIGNUP 2/20/11-3/11/11 ; MAIL BY 4/12/11) in The Swap Gallery by honeyd on: April 13, 2011 12:08:38 PM
hello Peacock lovers!!

I love this gallery so far and I'm so excited to add the awesomeness that Pupper made for me!

First let me say that I'm pretty sure we were meant to be paired together.  At least one of the colors she used as tissue to wrap her crafts is the same color I used, AND she used the same tape, hers in green, mine in blue!  Don't you love Japanese tape, Pupper?

Right of my wist the cutest little peacock stuffie:

Look at her felting skills, this little pouch is so cute!  I think I'm gonna use it for my camera, i've been needing one!

And finally this is awesome!  She made me a jeweled peacock shadow box that will be a perfect addition to my wall:

She also sent two great extras, this lovely yarn and awesome patch that will probably become a scarf with the patch on it!

Thank you so much Pupper!!  I'm so happy to have been your partner and I can't wait for your parcel to get to you!

30  Jar of Hearts in New Swap Theme Ideas by honeyd on: March 30, 2011 06:45:38 AM

The moment I heard the song "Jar of Hearts" by Christina Perri I started thinking of having my own little crafty jar of hearts.  So I put this idea out there for you lovely swappers, what if we swap hearts to build a jar of hearts for everyone?  This swap would be completely unrelated to the song, just stealing the idea of a jar filled with hearts.

The hearts could be made from anything as long as they are under 3 x 3 inches to fit comfortably inside a medium Ball jar.  What do you guys think?  Is it lame?  Undecided
