21  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Re: Volcano! Swarovski Platform Pumps - The bling continues on: October 14, 2011 07:11:55 PM
theses are FANTASTIC. I've been stalking ebay for some rhinestone shoes lately but yours are so much prettier than any shoes I've seen anywhere!
22  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Re: Alternative Bouquet on: September 15, 2011 07:15:15 AM
LunarPowered - I have that same aversion to traditional things if there's no real personal tie to it. We plan to throw out a lot of "you have to do this in every wedding" if we don't like them because well... it's our wedding (:

hawkeye - I thought this too!! Or with some changes years down the line maybe my future daughter would like to use it when she gets married.  Like an heirloom.

24  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Alternative Bouquet on: September 13, 2011 07:59:34 AM
Fresh flowers are nice, but I feel no real emotional connection to them. My great-grandmothers jewelry and curtains from my fiance and I's first apartment though, those are special. So I figured hey, why not bring them to the wedding in bouquet form?

Along with some cruelty-free feathers from etsy and lots of hot glue I present to you my alternative bridal bouquet:

(ps- I plan to cover that plastic handle, I just haven't decided how to yet...)
