2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Red Paperboy Hat on: September 30, 2007 01:07:01 AM
Thank you everyone for the love, this hat was rough on my brain, the comments are much appreciated!

I'm sorry I wish I could offer help but I really sorta winged it. I increased until I had a decent size circle, then stayed the same number of stitches for a few rows, then decreased until I had it head size. I wouldnt use this pattern again honestly.

I remember seeing this pattern on the Slouch CAL after I finished the hat. I havent road tested this pattern yet though, sorry!

I lurked on this long enough! I finally finished one. It is "eh". The sizing was miserable and now that I have finished there are things I would go back and change but I have no motivation with the warm months ending to make another.

7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Charger and LadyBug Blanket on: August 23, 2007 05:14:27 PM
Hee hee... not on one blanket!

I made a Charger blanket for a coworkers birthday. I had very little time, so its a Q hook, double strand blanket o goodness. It's sc with a fpdc every so often.

The second yellow stripe is the same color as the first, wonky photo.

I also made a LadyBug blanket for a coworker who's niece is having a baby girl. She is registered for the cutest pink ladybug set at BabiesRUs. Its also double strand, baby clouds and simply soft, with a simple scalloped edge. I crocheted a ladybug and sewed it on the corner.

Does any one have these or something similar? Do you like them? Do they work?

I would like to purchase a couple, I think I could really use them on long car rides.

Joann's has them online, but they dont have all the sizes Sad

If you have them, where did you get them?

Sorry for all the q's, any comments or suggestions or whatnot are welcome, thanks!!!
9  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: 2 HP Scarves, 2 baby blankies, 2 blue ripples on: July 24, 2007 09:12:01 AM
Thank you all for the nice comments!

For the baby blankets I used a pattern in "A Year Of Baby Afghans Book 3". It was fairly simple, some sc and a double crochet that was on the post of the row before and a few stitches back... does that make sense   Huh ?

The HP scarves were simple HDC, I initially tried a trinity stitch but it looked too fussy.
