1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Sweater finished at last :) on: October 28, 2006 04:30:15 PM
I finally found time to weave in the ends of this sweater last night.

Feels so good to finish something more substantial than yet another pair of socks Smiley

No pattern on this one.  I just designed it as I went, but it's not really an "original" design.  It's loosely based on my vague recollection of something I saw in a pattern book a few years ago (perhaps Filati ... perhaps Gedifra ... I can't recall).  The one in the book was a spring sweater, cotton in white and pastels and thinner striping up top, if my memory serves me right.  Mine is done with six semi-solid colors of sportweight superwash merino.  The bottom section uses a slip stitch pattern to create a slightly stiffer fabric that doesn't quite cling like a rib, but still creates a bit of narrowing effect at the waist.

Anyhow, it's done now and I'm reasonably happy with it.  More details on my blog:  http://fearlessfibers.blogspot.com.

Now on to something new!
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Lapping Water Socks Finished :) on: October 19, 2006 02:09:21 PM
I just finished a new pair of socks that I'm calling "Lapping Water Socks."  Nothing terribly special about them really, but I'm happy with them Smiley

More pics and the pattern are posted on my blog if anyone's interested:  http://fearlessfibers.blogspot.com.

3  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Your September Etsy Goals on: September 01, 2006 07:42:40 AM
Hi everyone:

Since it's the first on the month, I thought it would be fun to list our Etsy goals for September here so we can all track and then pop back here and share how we do as the month progresses.  Some examples of what you might want to set goals for:  number of sales, number of hearts, number of views, feedback score, number of new items listed, etc.

I don't want to go nuts with mine, so here are three for me to get us started.  They are "stretch" goals, as I prefer to make it challenging for myself despite the fact that I might not hit any of them Smiley

Number of sales:  60 items for the month of September (yeah, I know, that's going to be very difficult!)
Number of hearts  reach 200 by end of month
Feedback score:  reach 150 by end of month

How about you?  What are your goals?  And don't hesitate to list them even if they are modest goals ... such as "my first sale"!
