I also love this. As a matter of fact, I'm currently knitting Juliet and was thinking of making it with long sleeves. However, I didn't want to make long sleeves using garter stitch because I thought it would be too bulky. This gives me an idea to make it stockinette once I reach that point on the top. Good job!
2  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Zephyr Style's Juliet on: October 09, 2007 09:20:15 AM
HELP!!!!Okay so I just started Juliet and I'm worried about sizing. I'm using one strand of Simply Soft on size 6 needles. The gauge for the sweater is 14st = 4 inches. But my gauge is 14 st = 3 inches. The original caston is 70 stitches for the small (I'm a medium but since this seems to run larger I'm going down a size). Based on that and my gauge numbers, I caston 92 stitches (which is close to the same as the largest size on the pattern). So first, does this sound right and second, which size do I follow for increases, etc.?

7  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Yarn substitution for Rowan Calmer on: June 26, 2007 05:47:09 AM
I want to knit Fifi, the new SKC knit, but Rowan Calmer (though I'm sure it's great) is just a little too pricey for me. Any suggestions for a substitution?

I've always thought that was a pretty sweater. I can't wear cowl necks but yours is very pretty and I like that you added length, I think a lot of the sweaters designed today are always a bit too short.

10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / FO - Bella Blouse on: June 18, 2007 05:17:02 PM
I didn't see too many people knitting the Bella Blouse from IK's Summer issue (the free pattern). I tried starting a KAL but no takers. Well, I love it! Here it is:

Apparently, I need to add some more info to this post - well, there isn't much more but here's what I can tell you. I used Lion Brand Microspun in turquoise - the finished piece is a bit more drapey than the original appears in the pattern but I like that. I constructed it in the round instead of in pieces because I don't like to seam. I left off the sleeve inserts mostly because I liked it without. The only problem I had with the pattern was the yo called for at the beginning of the purl sides on the chart. I couldn't get the hang of it so I did yo at the end of the knit side and then slipped the first stitch on the purl side. Worked like a charm.

If you would like to see a modeled shot or a shot of the detail, please feel free to visit my blog. But don't feel like you have to visit my blog http://www.knitsawrap.blogspot.com/2007/06/bella-isimo.html - it's just an offer. All other info is right here on this post.
