202  Re: Largest Craftster ATC swap! in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by Patti M on: November 02, 2006 10:38:03 AM
Silly me- didn't read all the instructions- so back to square one for me! Here goes-
I am signing up and I am in New Jersey, USA. I am willing to swap abroad or local.

C'mon all you newbies- give it a try. An ATC is the easiest way to start your crafting! You can do almost anything you want (within moral reasoning!) as long as it's only 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" size cards. But beware- they are addicting!
Here are some more examples-some painted, some computer graphics, some clip art, some rubber stamped, and a few sewn ones too!

Well, it seems like Astronogirl has gone awol on us so I am going to go ahead and post the pictures of the cards I made her. I really liked them- especially "William Shatner" - that one's just silly!
First- A piece of Pi-

William Shatner at his hammiest!-

Enjoy- and Astronogirl- if you see this- let me know if you got them or not-ok?

204  Re: Really Old People Swap in The Swap Gallery by Patti M on: October 21, 2006 05:07:16 PM
Well, I am the receipient of the first "Old People's Swap" package and it is a box full of flashback!! Of course I am nowhere near completing my swap- so Moilulu-sorry- you'll have to wait till the end of the month.
First there was a handmade Autograph hound like the ones we had back in the day when you would have all your "best" girlfriends over for a slumber party. He is made in my favorite blues and purple w/ a shamrock over one ear (cause I'm Irish through & through). Next was a cute card w/ 3 different button pins attached. Top to bottom they are Janis Joplin (my heroine when I was younger- but heroin did her in-how ironic!) Second is a picture of a Mary Quant lipstick necklace (very 60's and mod!) and a rock star for the third. These will be fun to wear on my funky throwback poncho a friend made me.
Next Susan made me 2 ATC's entitled "Fine Commute" and "Stressful" (which has a great fire-breathing Godzilla on it )
So take a look and enjoy!

Well, I just found out that Gettysburg Fife is having camera woes so I am posting the 2 cards she received from me.
First is my favorite Disney character- Eeyore!

Isn't he adorable- gotta love him.

Next she chose one of my favorite actors so I had to do a homage to him- Alan Rickman

Hope you like them Gettysburg Fife.

Well, I was the luckiest girl on my block today- I rec'd 6-yes 6!- lovely cards today!!!!
First picture is three from Altered Mommy (who rocks at ATC's!!) Lto R-
William Shakespeare (the venomous!), then my Adoption card (made me choke up a bit!), and finally the coolest Skyscapers made of Chinese newspaper on a painted background with stars "almost" punched out for dimension.  Very cool all!!
Next I rec'd 2 from Bobolink (see-they did arrive!)- Quirky Quips and diamonds- both very clever graphically
Last, but not by any means least- Classic Hollywood from Squirrelgirl

It's like having another birthday this year!

210  More ATC's- My view of the world in Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) by Patti M on: October 06, 2006 08:37:34 PM
For those who do not know-ATC's are miniature art works that are designed to be traded between artists-hence the name Artist Trading Cards (ATC). They can be made individually or in series around a theme. The only true rule for ATC's is that they must measure 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" exactly. No more-no less. Otherwise- it's up to the artist to express themselves in whatever medium they prefer.

Here are some of the ATC's I have made recently- if you want to trade-PM me to check on availability of item.
