1  Re: Show Off Your Hair! in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by fishbowl on: October 15, 2007 03:13:22 PM
I decided to go orange. Napalm Orange. Originally I was going to cut my hair first... but well... I was too broke. So I decided to dye my hair first. Within the next week or two I should be getting it cut. More on that farther down. Anywho...

Before: (faded, rooty, goodness)

Color wanted: (silly photoshopping)

What I achieved...:

What do you think? ;o
^^ I love it.

There's a streak of Fishbowl and Raw Pink underneath, but it was put there not to show unless I wanted it to.

3  Hippy Shoes galore. <3 in Shoes: Completed Projects by fishbowl on: February 20, 2007 07:06:27 PM

Here are the shoes I made for my boyfriend's grandma as a Christmas gift. They told me to make them as colorful and tacky as I could. Do you think I succeeded? XD My boyfriend told me things about her to incorporate. Such as her being a breast cancer survivor and loving the ocean and rainbows. XD

My boyfriend sketched one and I colored it, and then we switched and I sketched one and let him color it. So really it we worked as a duo.

-is majorly late putting both of these up-

Anyway, she loved them and wears them to the bar all the time. Rofl. XD

Personally I just found them adorably tacky. =P Especially being worn by a granny in a bar.

4  Re: Show off your hair! And questions about hair styles! in Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions by fishbowl on: December 29, 2006 01:44:15 PM

I've been around a while and I've shown off quite a few of my hair colors.
My most recent was this one which was featured on http://www.amphigory.com.

Sadly, the dye was way too much to keep up with. At 8 dollars a bottle, and 7 colors...it just ended up being very expensive.

So I let my hair fade out.

Then I bleached my roots and done a soapcap to remove the extra red that was refusing to fade.

When I was done I ended up with this.
Please note that my camera is being a whore and is showing the purple as a dark blue. And the white blonde in my coontail looks greenish. ;_;

The right side is Wildflower, and the left side is Fishbowl with a fishbowl and white/blonde striped coon tail. Smiley

It turned out different than how I wanted...but I really like it anyhow.

<3 Thank you to everyone who complimented my hair. ^_^
I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who likes it. =P

And because Sue wants some internet spotlight...

Say hello to Sooki Wooki Sue. =P

Well this weekend me, my boyfriend, and my friend MistressPookie got together for a hair dying fest. I'm quite happy with everyone's hair.

To refresh your memory my most recent dye job was limelight and virgin rose by Special Effects.

This is the first time in about two years that  have strayed away from Limelight. I decided to take a risk and go rainbow. I let it fade almost all the way out, but the Virgin Rose refused to go...so I went and had my roots bleached and the hairdresser lightly bleached the virgin rose to a VERY dull pink. After hours of dying I got this...

All colors flipped back and moved and such.

It starts at my left bang with Bright Ass F#*(ing Yellow, to Napalm Orange, to Nuclear Red, to Cupcake Pink, to Wildflower, to Fishbowl, to Limelight at my right bang.

When I brush it correctly it shows them all the way around. or I can mess it up and make it look like there are a ton of little streaks.

The guy I am with in the pictures is my boyfriend. His is nuclear red/napalm orange. ^_^

Both of us are bright as hell in the sun.

This coming Friday I am going in to have my roots rebleached so I can redye my hair.

Problem is, this pink crap I've got isn't wanting to fade. The rest of it was green, but has faded out to blonde. I was going for  5 different colors. Red on the right back. Purple on the left back. Green leftbang. Pink/orange right bang. And then a yellow and red coontail, or 'heart coontail' or horizontal stripes.

The pink on the left doesn't really matter, but I'd prefer to get it all out for a clean slate. Especially where the yellow will be. Any ideas on getting it to fade faster? I'm already clarifying the hell out of it.

Or any other ideas for rainbowish hair? Tiny streaks of color are a nonono. I do not have the patience. XD

This is pretty much what it looks like now.

9  Two for one deal. :) (Shirt/skirt) -Picture heavy. in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by fishbowl on: September 25, 2006 05:28:48 AM

Well this is my first attempt at a skirt of any kind, so it is not perfect. Or even close, but in a way it looks like it was suppose to look messy. So it works for me.

It started as a piece of super silky, stretchy fabric.

And with a old t-shirt chopped up for the waist band, it turned into this.

And here it is in action.

That picture is also a shirt I had made a while back but could not get pictures of.

The front is a strip of skull/rose printed fabric my mother brought home for me from Joanns. And the side/back/bottom band are all from a plain black t-shirt. And the top band is a scrap piece from another shirt. Annnd the straps from an old jumper dress from my 5 year old days. XD

Oh and just in case you are wonder, the pants in that picture are shredding gone wrong. Although they look better now.

I think that sums it up. Smiley
