1  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Living Felt Tutorial? on: June 06, 2007 07:30:58 PM
Well I went and paid for the tutorial, got my receipt, but there is no information anywhere on how to ACCESS the tutorial  Huh

A little less than impressed right now, as they boast "instant access" for their online tutes.

I did send an email to the site owner, and I'm waiting to be approved to access their forum.

I will let you know how it works out.

EDITED TO ADD: The owner just emailed me back with the info on how to access. Will update again later Smiley

Hi Everyone,

I'm a future needle felter who will be joining you very soon. I am waiting for my $60 needle felting supply package to arrive any day now!

In the meantime, I have been eyeing this

Has anyone tried it? Anyone recommend it?
3  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Where to buy supplies in Halifax, Nova Scotia on: June 04, 2007 10:55:44 AM
WOW! Thank you! I had given up on this thread and I was just about to order from ebay. I was lost in a million different ebay shops and auctions. Dreamspin Fibres is much simpler.

Thanks again!
4  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Discussion and Questions / Where to buy supplies in Halifax, Nova Scotia on: May 31, 2007 08:15:11 PM
I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to order my supplies from Ebay, but I thought I'd give my search one last try.

Anyone know where to buy everything you need for felting here in good ol' halifax?

Thanks Smiley

6  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: HELP! Lost pattern/picture, Mushroom + pals on: February 24, 2007 07:05:33 PM
Very close to the one I'm looking for.

I guess I can just make up two other creatures to go with it.

Thanks for your help Avian Flight!!!

If anyone knows of the one with three animals I'm still very interesting in finding that one.

Much appreciated....

EDITED TO ADD:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

I FOUND IT! Here it is....

I think I actually like the hedgehog one better, but at least now I can stop obessing and go do something useful Tongue

Thank you for your patience everyone!
7  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / HELP! Lost pattern/picture, Mushroom + pals on: February 24, 2007 12:55:35 PM
I've spent days looking up amigurumi patterns, and the one that sticks in my mind is the one I DIDN'T bookmark.

So guys, I'm asking for your help before I go crazy looking for it.

It was one of those flip top mushrooms (in the picture it's red with white spots) and it has instructions for three little animals that can go inside.

I know FOR SURE that one is a mouse. The other two I'm not sure, but  I'm thinking one was a hedgehog.

Please if you know where this pattern is please let me know.

I've seen several like it in my crazy searching, but none that have the three little pals.

Hoping to hear from a hero........

When  will the new challenge start? I thought they were monthly?

Sorry for asking, but I don't see anything about this in board information...
9  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: I'm having so much trouble!! :'( on: October 01, 2006 07:42:53 PM
Thanks guys Smiley. I think I just need to put it down for awhile and come back to it with a fresh mind.

I think part of the problem is that this is the first "hard" craft I've tried, everything else was easy or came to me easily.

I'll practice more tomorrow!
10  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / I'm having so much trouble!! :'( on: October 01, 2006 05:23:08 PM
I've spent all weekend not doing my homework and trying to teach my self to crochet. I've been looking at all those super cute amigurumi with hopes to have at least a tiny start on one by tonight...

so far (with a lot of effort) I can do a chain, and what I *think* is a single crochet stitch (but it's probably wrong).  Undecided Cry

Any other beginners here? Anyone who started crocheting recently and is now a master? Any tips would help... and some encouragement wouldn't go astray  Wink.
