I've been a huge fan of the veuve clicquot, so i decided to make a necklace with the top from a bottle.

I think it rocks. I love the skull, it's very cute! My only question is how do the bumps affect it's functionality as a table? Seems like a glass or cup or ashtray or whatever would get wobbly on the table or something XD Maybe I'm just wierd for thinking that, though. Haha.

the bumps aren't tall enough for it to make anything too wobbly, but i'm think about putting a layer of varnish over it anyway just to smooth it out further.

I think it is cute and you can't say this very often when a skull is included. How did you do the dots? The maker of  the heart table wrote she used Liquitex  acrylic paint, but that doesn't give me a clue either. I use acrylic paint all the the time and I never have this pearl effect.

the thing about liquitex is that it is more liquid than traditional acrylics (and also much much cheaper).  but since it is more liquidy you can make these little pearl/bubble dots that stand out really well.

this is incredible, i love the idea of putting an off-center historical figure like that on furniture (i've been planning something with madame de pompadour).

very very cool.

i had a really boring, scratched up old coffee table lying around, so i decided to see if i couldn't make it more amusing.

It's my version of the awesome table that giddygirlie posted here:  https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=88199.0

i would love to hear if people think it is awesome or if people think it's terrible, either way  Cheesy

10  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: My "Cholo" Shrine (Many Pictures) on: April 20, 2007 11:34:23 AM
i love this, cholo culture is my favorite so i think i may have to try and make one of these.

i have to ask, the jars in the back of the picture look like they have the labels in old english, which i think is awesome; and i was wondering if you made them or bought them?  because i seriously need jars like those.
