1  Thank you Batman, for being so stencil-friendly! in Stenciling: Completed Projects by not so copacetic on: July 19, 2008 08:35:58 PM
So yesterday afternoon I woke up and thought, "Hooray, I'm seeing The Dark Knight tonight!"  (yeah, I couldn't make the midnight showing.....*sad*).  Immediately after that thought came realization: "I have nothing Batman-related to wear.  CRAP."

Seeing as I didn't have the money to buy a new shirt and I didn't have time to do anything elaborate, I just grabbed an old black tanktop and stenciled the batman logo on it.  luckily the new bat symbol is a cinch to draw and cut out on account of all the straight lines.

action shot!  (i'm amazed it came out this well.  usually i don't wait long enough to peel off the freezer paper and everything smears)

2  Frilly Skulls- Gothic Lolita Headband in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by not so copacetic on: August 19, 2007 01:36:18 AM
Bat's day is today, and seeing as it's supposed to be over 94 degrees out (apparently God hates goths), I decided to go for a headband instead of a top hat to complete my outfit.  I made the skulls out of polymer clay, and the headband is just some leftover black velvet with  lace and bias tape sewn onto it.

3  Dalmation wallet and/or mirror pouch in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by not so copacetic on: August 05, 2007 02:25:13 AM
I saw CheyElizabeth's awesome tutorial on easy snap wallets and decided to make one for my friend for her birthday.

I also made her an etched mirror so the wallet could double as a mirror pouch:

Random Fact: I have no idea how to properly install a snap button, so projects that involve them usually end in sore teeth

4  Green Plaid Bread Bag! Yum. in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by not so copacetic on: July 01, 2007 02:41:07 AM
Don't ask me what the picture means, it was just a random doodle pulled from the depths of my demented mind.  All I know is that the bread is going *points* thattaway!

action shot (ignore the toilet and my horrifically mismatched PJs):

6  TREE! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by not so copacetic on: July 20, 2006 02:08:51 PM
i love trees and i love making bags, so naturally this was born:

(note my dog in the background glaring evily at the bag)

i made it for my friend's birthday, but i was sorely tempted to keep it for myself.  i've been meaning to make another bag like it, but i'm so lazy......

7  Re: Firefly/Serenity Round 3 Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by not so copacetic on: July 02, 2006 02:10:49 AM
I GOT MY PACKAGE FROM PAMPEREDPAM13!  *happy dance of dooooom*

everything was amazing, right down to the packaging!  they were white boxes filled with straw, with little notes in them describing the contents.  it's so authentic and neat!

plastic dinosaurs, because it would be silly to be a true wash fan without some of them footling about

a super handy Serenity bag, which i will be making tremendous use of since i always need to carry stuff around with me.  the front has the cast of Serenity, and the back has quotes from my 3 favorites guys ever: jayne, wash, and mal

(literally) shiny marble magnets with firefly pictures!

marble barretts, which are perfect for me right now because my hair is too short to properly tie up and it's too hot to keep it down.  and what better way to keep cool than with firefly paraphernalia?

earrings!  i wore these to a party and they were greatly admired, along with.....

a Wash/Zoe shirt!  the picture is so sweet, and the shirt is ridiculously comfortable. not to mention it goes perfectly with a certain hat.  yep, you guessed it...

MY VERY OWN JAYNE HAT!  i've wanted one ever since i saw that episode, but unfortunately i can't knit myself into a cozy that was already 90% knitted.  no matter though, because now i have one!  which i will wear as i strut about town in the 90 degree heat.  it even came with a note from ma cobb!

shiny indeed

8  Cute little dead girl messenger bag purse in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by not so copacetic on: June 17, 2006 02:42:10 PM
And by "cute little dead girl," i of course mean Lenore.

i used Avery's dark t-shirt transfer for the images, but for some reason the striped cloth bled through the white parts.  blah.

the inside (i accidentally put the pocket on the wrong side.  i is a GENIUS)

9  because i love Mal, and i'm an incurable nerd in Stenciling: Completed Projects by not so copacetic on: April 20, 2006 06:34:42 PM

the worlds of sci-fi and poetry meet, at last!

all hail the creative versa-tool, even if it burned the shirt a bit.
