92  What i use to make stencils in Stenciling: Discussion and Questions by dishwasher182 on: June 27, 2006 05:15:41 PM
Hey everyone- i'm pretty new to the whole making my own stencils and what i do to make my stencils last a while...  I print the image out first on cardstock... then i trace the parts that I cut out onto one of those folders:
that are kinda like bendy - like the kind of material that store bought stencils are on...
and then i cut it again on the folder.  Plus i cut the folder in half and i can get two stencils from one folder... Smiley  Yes it involves double the cutting.. but i think its totally worth it because then you have a stencil that will last you much longer than just using cardstock!

Just thought i'd share with everyone!

oh and you can find the folders just about anywhere, i got mine at WalMart for 79 cents. Smiley

95  Re: AWESOMELY SIMPLE VIDEO GAME CRAFTS! in Beads: Completed Projects by dishwasher182 on: June 09, 2006 08:57:33 AM
Yay here are two of mine i made last night!

I got my beads from walmart, i got two big bags with the pegboards  as a set, and i bought an extra bag of mixed colors.

I then decided to sort them all out by color... it took like an hour, but it was definatly worth it... it actually wasn't too bad because i have verrry sloow internet (56k) and i would just do it while the pages would load.. haha..

I'm very excited to make more.. your right it is addicting!!!

96  my first dress =) in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by dishwasher182 on: May 10, 2006 09:00:42 AM
I'm so excited- I finished my first dress!  I've sewn a skirt before this- at a sewing class from JoAnn, but this is the first project i've done by myself- it even has a zipper-which i thought was pretty easy.. even though i was scared at first.. hehe.
I got everything at walmart, and the total was about $15 all together. Which is awesome because i got to make it fit exactly how I wanted it to!
I love sewing... and my new pink polka dot dress. Smiley

Heres a picture of it:

I used this pattern: view C

It took me about 4 nights alltogether to finish it.
I love it and i can't wait to wear it Smiley
