1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / First World vs. Third World on: December 09, 2006 10:04:28 AM

I got to thinking about meals and how the meals here in the First World seem to far outweigh (literally) what the majority of people on the earth would eat on a daily basis so that was my starting point for this.

Here is my entry - dinner in 3 courses - appetizer, main and dessert:

2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / Japanese Garden Cards on: December 04, 2006 09:23:47 PM
I'm doing a personal swap w Bobolink for her Japanese Garden theme and this is what I sent her: (I started out with just one card but in no time at all, it multiplied itself by 4! The glue was still drying in some of these photos...)

3  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / Inspired by Alphons Mucha's Four Seasons on: November 23, 2006 02:33:16 PM
I did these back in August and will probably end up using them in my portfolio during my interview for school...they are made using a combination of regular coloured paper, japanese paper, magazine photos, markers, paint and finally candy/chocolate foil (I have a friend who stashes foil like it's going out of style so I borrowed some from her!)

4  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / ATCs! on: August 20, 2006 04:51:57 PM
Just wondering if there actually is an ATC discussion board on Craftster - if not, maybe there should be 'cause I keep seeing them all over the place and I don't know exactly where to post mine!!
5  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / trees photog to print on: July 09, 2006 01:29:41 PM

So my bf and I were lying on some random park benches at dusk a few weeks ago and I was looking up at the tree beside me and the lighting was so cool that it was all lit up from underneath and I remembered that I had my camera so I took a photo. Then I took it into photoshop and came up with this:

Once they were printed, my bf suggested that we outline with pen...

But I forgot to take an after photo before giving them as a gift! (They pretty much looked the same just more defined).
Anyways, I thought I would post them! Thanks for looking!

This was my first attempt at working with chain and I really like it! I plan to do lots more!
The necklace can be worn long as one length of chain or short as two (shown here)...
7  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / cinnabar fans and gold leaf on: July 09, 2006 01:12:03 PM
I thought I hadn't take a photo before I gave these to a friend but I just found one! It's not a great photo but nevertheless...

thanks for looking!
8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / 3 pairs of earrings on: July 09, 2006 01:09:38 PM

9  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Crochet and Carnelian and Shells oh my! (img heavy) on: May 13, 2006 09:47:59 PM
Just a few things that I was working on today after a visit to 'Bling Bling', one of the bead stores down on Queen St. W. here in Toronto. I just started beading after a long time and I'm really excited about the infinite possibilities.

The two with carnelian are for my mom for Mother's Day. the other two will be offered as prizes at my friend's bridal shower next week.

PS. My mom is a high school teacher and her school colours are black and orange just in case you're wondering about the hallowe'en colours!

This is my first project post here on craftster! Yay!

I found this at the Goodwill down the street and thought it was great. I added some cool shell buttons and star shaped beads for interest. I chose not to add a face, I'm not exactly sure why, it just seemed to work better that way for some reason.
