22  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Super Cute Ribbon/Button Bangles!!! on: May 16, 2008 01:58:22 AM
hi everyone!!! so i was lurkin around here, deciding i wanted to make some resin bangles and went onto ebay and checked out some molds... too bad NONE of them fit my wrists SadSadSad so that bummed me out. so i went into my craft room, and looked in my junk drawer. i had all sorts of these ribbon spool dealies from all my ribbon that i never wanted to throw out because i knew there was a use for them.

well tonight i found the use!

i ripped off the tops and bottoms of them to get this lovely cardboard round bangle shape!

i did that for a bunch of them. and here they are before:

so then i started wrapping them in fabric... i decided i didnt like that at all, it just didnt look that nice... it was OKAY but not nice enough!

then a light went off in my head and told me RIBBON! so i wrapped some red ribbon around one but it was too plain.... so i added some cherry ribbon horizontally all the way around. and i liked that. then i added some buttons and thought this is totally cute!!! and then i added a nice little inside ribbon to hold it all in place.

then i did some more fabric ones and hated them.

i then had another brilliant idea! i had bought these letter charms from dollarama last week and decided theyd be ADORABLE on a bracelet.

so i did some more ribbon ones.. only this time i added the charms and put cute things on them! and added matching buttons. and VOILA!!!!!

NOTE: i will take better pics tomorrow. its dark in here and late! also i need to add lining to the other ones!

thanks for looking!!! Cheesy

oh and heres a pic with the fabric ones...  Undecided

better pics of the ribbon bangles:

i was wondering if you think anyone would buy these, and if so how much would you pay if you were to buy one??

(ps i apologize for blurry pics. its 430 am ha!)

also,  im planning on lining the insides with one piece of ribbon (i did on one of them already and it looks MUCH tidier and nicer!)

thanks so much for your help! Smiley

hi everyone.. so usually i dont click ads.. but i saw one here on craftster that was for a place to sell your crafts online.

the actual layout of the site isnt beautiful or anything but the first 250 members who sign up... get their account free (well almost, there is a $2.00 verification fee, but all the free listings you want without them taking anything from you!) for a year as a "founding" member! Smiley

so far there are 187 members....

you can sell anything and everything here! even food!  Cool

i hope its okay that im telling everyone about this!!! it seems well worth it anyway Smiley

theres also http://ecrater.com but is is a little confusing to navigate around  Roll Eyes

28  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Plain Wooden Tray -> Tattoo Style Rockin' Tray on: May 03, 2008 12:37:21 AM
Hi everyone! So I got some plain wooden trays from the buck store here.

Then I decided to paint them with my favourite style. Tattoo-ish!

Here is the first one I did.
Just a question though.... is there anyway I could seal this?? Like what would I use... I don't even know what I'd use the tray for... lol.

anyway... here it is.... i should really take daytime pics in natural light, because the flash does nothing for it.

thanks for looking! Cheesy
29  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / my first shadow box - beatles themed! on: April 26, 2008 09:42:59 PM
hi everyone!

first off, not sure where to put this?! woops.

so i bought 4 blank wood shadow boxes from dollarama to decorate and put in my front hall as i have NOTHING on the walls there.

this is the first of four. i followed the style of claudine hellmuth! the next is a beach boys one for DBF the beach boys fanatic!

here it is (i apologize for the flash Sad):

the picture doesnt really do it much justice.
but its cool, i promise!
