1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / completed embossed leaves socks on: November 15, 2006 10:49:54 AM
they're done!

it's the embossed leaves socks from winter 2005 interweave knits.

i gave up on those ugly things and decided to use different yarn, and now i love the outcome!  it's cherry tree hill supersock yarn in country garden.

they probably would have been much prettier if knitted with solid color yarn instead of with variegated yarn, but i still love them.  they're for my mom, and i think she'll like them.  they remind me of autumn!
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / my first *real* sewing project! on: November 15, 2006 10:39:26 AM
i just bought a new sewing machine, so i've got a new list of all sorts of projects!  and here's my first *real* project.  it's not the first thing i've ever sewn, but it is the first i've done on my own and with a pattern!

(in the past, i've made clothing using patterns with help from my aunt, and i used to make random crap with scrap fabric and no pattern.)

the color is off in the photo (the flash is way harsh), and it isn't perfect, but i'm quite pleased!
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / stuffed elephant from last-minute knitted gifts on: April 28, 2006 05:43:35 PM
hi all, this is my first post here!  be kind Smiley

here is my stuffed elephant!  i think he is so freaking cute!  it is a gift, but i'm really tempted to keep him (or her) for myself!

i used the lovable toys pattern from the book, last-minute knitted gifts.  i used an acrylic yarn, and it's surprisingly super soft!

details are on my blog

ps - how do you resize images using these [img] tags?  is it similar to html at all?
