1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Cardboard and Pool Noodle Wreaths on: July 13, 2012 11:14:53 AM
My first wreath I made was actually on this post and was also made out of cardboard and vintage light bulbs. https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=401277.0  I failed though to show how it was made out of the cardboard and the steps on how it was made. Here are my two latest wreaths. Comments, suggestions and any sort of questions are appreciated! Smiley

Cardboard Wreath:
This one was made for college decoration. All you need is some cardboard, ribbon, hot glue, and some letters if you choose.(letters could also be made out of cardboard, mine were bought though) I covered my letters in scrapbook paper but you could also paint them or cover them in glitter(the possibilities are endless). If you want more of a tutorial I can post one.

Pool Noodle Wreath:
This wreath was made out of a pool noodle(for the base, it's cheaper than a wreath form mine was like $1) ribbon, wooden plaque, chalkboard paint, white paint, and hot glue. This one is a tad bit more crazy and is for a friend going to Arkansas.
The finished thing(if nothing gets added to the frame):Opinions needed should I add something to the chalkboard area like a bow or something or leave it simple?

The Base: I call them pool noodles not sure if that's an official name though.

2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / The Crazy Scarf Dress on: June 25, 2012 04:53:45 PM
This dress was actually made back in 2006, but recently I found a picture of it and decided to share it now.It was made out of just thrifted scarves, and the base was a shirt if I recall. As much as I loved the dress I decided that it's not a dress you get to wear everyday so I took the scarves off and am going to make other things with them.(those may be posted soon) But for now here is the dress!

Let me know what you think, comments, questions anything!  Smiley
3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Light Bulb Wreath, Candy covered letters, and lots of glitter. on: January 03, 2012 01:39:57 PM
Just some projects from this season. Everything is made from recycled or broken things. Comments, questions, or advice about stuff is welcomed. If anyone wants details on how to make something I'll post a tutorial on how-to.  Smiley Enjoy!

First Vintage Light Bulb Wreath Inspiration came from this http://thompsonfamily.typepad.com/thompson_familylife/2011/12/55-days-of-vintage-christmas-our-holiday-home-peek-2.html
Far Away shot:

Now for the Snowflakes, before they were an off cream color that didn't match the room. Glitter can change anything!

Next are the Light Bulb Magnets: (if you don't like glitter you could always paint them, cover them in yarn/ribbon/twine, anything really)

Another Fringe Tree,(with glitter tips) link on how to make them is here  https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=330034.0

New cute bows for trees

Candy Covered Letters Group then detail shots

That's all! Thanks for looking. If you have an advice or comments/questions feel free to ask!  Smiley

4  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Wallet? on: December 29, 2011 05:57:48 PM

Any ideas to do with this old wallet that's all ripped up? I really like the pattern that changes so I was thinking of maybe making some piece of jewelry with it. The pattern is really cute so I don't want to just throw it away. Any ideas welcomed thanks! Smiley
5  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / From Boring White to Brown and finally to Pink... on: September 10, 2011 04:11:44 PM

Well this tray started off as a boring white tray as you can see in the pictures in this previous post.   https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=330034.0

Started off some fake wood, to white, then was painted brown and finally painted Pink and stenciled with the design, and then coated with a gloss. Tell me what you think or if you have any ideas on how to stencil better, it was the first time really stenciling something.  I love it know and it has a home where perfume is sitting on it.

6  CRAFTING FOR GOOD AND NOT EVIL / Crafty Charitable/Social Causes / Crafting to help Kids with illnesses.. on: June 25, 2011 07:03:15 PM

Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone would like to help make any kind of craft to help with a Children's Miracle Network fundraiser. Most of the items we are creating are made from recycled materials. If anyone would like to help by giving some ideas on what would be good things to make, or anyother ideas it would be helpful. So far we are making bags out of old plastic bags, and some jewelry. If you have any other ideas we could make please do tell. Thanks for you time.  Smiley
7  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Completed Projects / Tons of Old Layouts (image intense) on: June 12, 2011 10:20:46 PM
These are from a scrapbook that was made back in 2008.( link to the others that were in the albume https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=314801.msg4064280#msg4064280) Thought I would post them because I never did before. I'm in the works of some new pages but for now these will have to do. Any comments or suggestions are gladly welcomed. I'm always looking for ways to improve my scrapbooking and though these aren't the latest pages and my style has changed in ways, it's still helpful to hear feedback.

Sortof a Double Layout

 horrible glare at the bottom

I really liked this one, the book in the corner comes out and each picture is numbered and the book describes each picture

Double Layout

Simple one about funny stroy on Valentine's Day

Spray Paint on a layout? sure why not? (yes back then I didn't know it's "bad" to do that)

Simple one about the Past

Another Double Sorry for glares once again
1st page has a fabric pocket with things in it

2nd page

Layout about Pool(bad glare)

Just a funny one about Stupid posed while Jumping of a Diving Board

One more double Layout

Not very interesting just has a lot of quotes

That's all! Thanks for looking. Smiley
