1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / green seersucker summer bag on: July 29, 2006 08:38:30 PM
I made this for a friend's birthday - and being a procrastinator, still haven't gotten around to giving it to her yet...it's been over four months now  Roll Eyes

Green with darker green grosgrain ribbon and pink lining with interfacing between the two so the bag won't be "droopy".

Fab idea! It's very Very Bradley but waaay cooler because it's your own.
3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Quick & Easy No Sew Gold Satin Clutch with Black beaded trim on: May 11, 2006 08:34:47 PM
My last minute project  Cheesy

Prom is tomorrow night. I needed a purse to match my dress so, with some cardboard, scraps of gold satin, black grosgrain ribbon, black beaded trim, and a hot glue gun, I put together this -

It's a bit fragile since nothing is sewed together (no clasp either, tied with ribbon) but I only need it to last a couple of hours so it'll have to do. Hmmm, looks a bit like a chocolate box upon closer inspection. Godiva?

6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / 310 wrappers, One wallet on: January 10, 2006 02:19:38 PM
I had a ridiculousy looooong, and very useless, Starburst chain so I decided to cut it into sections and make a wallet.

Next time, if there is a next time, I would make a pattern with the links.

^^ Monopoly money! My real money won't fit inside once the wallet is closed because for some reason the felt material shrinks. How mysterious.

-Starburst wrappers folded into links and connected into chains
-double sided tape
-regular clear tape (to put protect wallet, paper wears easily)

I might add a buckle with my remaining chain but it's kinda bulky as it is already.

The lining was scrap fabric found in my art class supply bin. I think it might be vintage...not sure though.
