2303  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: come one! come all! post pics of your tattoos! on: May 10, 2006 10:09:59 AM
Ooh, are you pleased with it? I think a henna-colored tattoo would be so pretty, but I haven't really seen any around.

i'm super pleased with it.  the tattoo artist i used tried to talk me out of getting it done in brown ink because it fades more quickly than black... i thought about it, but i wanted it to actually look like henna, so i chose brown.  i haven't noticed any fading or anything, but even if it did i think it would add to the henna effect.   Cheesy

I just posted this pic in another thread, but here's one of my tattoos.  It's on my left shoulder blade.  I still don't have any pictures of the more recent one, which looks like henna and is on my lower back.   Undecided

2305  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: Usernames: Talk about Crafty! on: May 09, 2006 03:21:38 PM
i realize this is late, but here's my explanation:

for my eighteenth birthday i decided to get a tattoo.  when i went to make the appointment, i said i wanted a flower, but then decided i wanted something else.  i still didn't know what i wanted when i went to the tattoo parlor that day, and while looking at the design books i saw a lot of different configurations of stars.  i quickly freehanded a little cluster of stars and had them put on my left shoulderblade.

later, at my birthday dinner, my mom asked why i chose that to get tattooed.  i shrugged, and my best friend offered, "she likes stars!"

wow, what a cool idea.

you could decoupage it with magazines, glue a bunch of rhinestones or beads or pom poms to it...

ooh, you could do like a beach theme with a little sand glued on, some shells, maybe some pictures of the beach.  that'd be neat.
2307  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Cock cake warning adult content ;) on: May 09, 2006 01:36:32 PM

they sell cock cake molds at one of the sex stores here.  i've always wanted a birthday cake in that shape  Grin
2308  COOKING / Vegetarian / Vegan / Re: Vegetarians. What do YOU eat? on: May 09, 2006 01:23:08 PM
i recently "converted" to vegetarianism as well, and so far i've made a lot of really simple things - bean and rice burritos with salsa, salads with lots of veggies, vegetable stir-fry, pasta - and then i've made a few things that i would have normally eaten, only with fake meat.  for example, hamburger helper (with something called... smart round, i think.), sloppy joes.  breakfasts usually consist of the same things i've always eaten:  cereal, peanut butter toast, waffles, or fruit and yogurt.

out of curiousity, digitalkitten, how are you doing with the adjustment?  i have a hard time eating out, but when i cook for myself, it's easy as pie.   Grin
2309  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Discussion and Questions / Re: Design Help on: May 09, 2006 01:09:01 PM
okay, another dumb question:  i looked at photoshop software at both ebay and amazon, and i found something called "photoshop elements 4.0".

is photoshop elements something different than regular photoshop?

sorry to be so dense but i have no clue what i'm looking for.  Undecided
2310  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: pad dispenser on: May 09, 2006 01:04:24 PM
ohhh.  it looked like the fabric was wrapped around the whole thing, so i couldn't tell that the lid came off.
