1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / from skirt to shirt & t-shirt recon (pic heavy) on: July 13, 2006 02:59:34 PM
i made this quite a while ago, it used to be an a-line skirt.  a find from a vintage store.  im not too big on skirts, but i am big on everything nautical.

so its hot & this summer has most definatly been a chubby summer. i needed a shirt to wear to work on my chub mcgees days since its too hot for cardigans and stuff.  im making a stupid face, ignore it.

the back has the same neck line.  it is 100% polyester & it doesnt breath too well but its awesome in an airconditioned biulding when you are running around helping people & its cute.  im planing to make more but with stretch jersey for my fellow chubby gal pal at work.

working in a store with a rocky mountain chocolate factory next door sucks.

and this little cutie was made with a white tee that doesnt fit anymore and a tunic that i didnt wear too much anymore.  im thinking about folding the bottom hem up so its banded.

this is too small for me!! & it makes me sad.  i curse the cookies.  im debating on giving it to either my boyfriends sister, or one of my cousins who are itty bitty.  im trying to decided who will appriciate it more. hah.

thanks for looking. <3
2  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / boy beanie, but different on: May 12, 2006 03:00:16 PM
i had made the boy beanie for my brother.  it came out bootleg.  but considering that i said i knit him a beanie for xmas, it was okay.  he wears it all the time though & says he loves it.

i love crochet.  its ridculously fast.

then my boyfriend wanted one aslo, but with camo yarn.  i found the yarn & started with the same pattern.  but then he want it differnt.  "make it longer..  i want ear flaps..  put a ball on top.."  so i changed it for him.  it came out less bootleg, but really cute.

then his sister wanted one.  i started it last night, finished this morning.  i have carpal tunnel, i wont be crocheting for a while as my hands are killing me.

i changed the pattern a bit.  adding extra dc rows & eliminating the color strip rows.  it was really easy & quick.

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / super scoop tunic on: May 12, 2006 02:28:44 PM
made this a week ago i think.  i had found a butt load of this fabric at my fave thrift store (its closed now) and i was originally going to make a hoodie with it.  i started that projected but it bored me.  so i decided i need a shirt for work one morning.  made in about >2 hours.  i like vest shirts at the moment.  i just traced a vest i had but made a super scooped neck.  on the banded hem there are 3 little heart buttons.

i apologize for the bad pic.  my camera died.  when i get batteries ill take better photos.  & i share the bathroon with my 2 brothers, hence the disgusting mirror, ive given up on haveing clean bathroom..

thanks for looking!
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / cute girly shirt on: February 06, 2006 11:16:30 AM
i made this a week or two ago.

started out as a mens tee that i found in my drawer.  why it was there?  who did it belong to?  i dont know & i dont care.  its cute now, and thats all that matters.

so i first cut out a "bib" on the front & the back on the tee, and then i sewed on the floral fabric.  thennn i took in the sides, the sholder area, made cuter sleeves, made a collar w/ the excess fabric that i cut off, and then i put a zipper in the back!

i was going to add piping, but i didnt feel like going to the store.  then i was going to put lace, but i forgot about the lace & i got frustrated. so instead i added 2 faux pearls for buttons on the bib. they are a crooked, but im crazy & i dont care.  & i also didnt feel like taking a picture of that.

but here are some pictures.

5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / i love vinyl wallets & pouches! pic heavy on: September 08, 2005 11:45:21 AM
i just wanted to share some stuff ive made.

this was a prototype. im dumb & i made the card pockets too small & the snap makes it funky.  i was trying a new placment for the snap, but yeah, that way makes its funky.

my little owls.  i had made a friend a wallet with the owls on it for past xmas.  i though they would look cute on a pouch, & they do.

i love the lining on this.  its freakin heman.

i love love love this wallet.  it all matches & its just cute.  i traded it for a bag from another crafter.

i love sailor stuff.  i have an anchor tattoo on my arm.  so thus..

7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Virgin Mary tote on: November 25, 2003 08:52:24 AM
my friend & i decided we wanted virgin bags (as we are stuck in a religious icon kick). so we bought some totes & felt. hers looks a lot different than mine (the one pictured). the same idea though. we cut & pasted peices of felt to create the image with hot glue. i lined it with this tropical print & added lace (not shown in the picture).  it came out awesome. ive gotten a few compliments & a lot of sneers. Smiley

it just occured to me that i should have posted this w/ my previous post, but oh well.
8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Anchor Purse on: November 25, 2003 08:40:34 AM
i made this purse a week or two ago.  its made from some faux leather my guy & i stripped from a couch we found on the side of the road& i lined it in a navy & white calico print, and hand sewed a felt anchor. i also put a metal snap button to close it. its rather nifty. i plan to start mass producing.
