1  CLOTHING / Sewing Pattern Reviews / Simplicity 5118 Toddler Dress on: January 29, 2005 01:20:56 PM
Well, I made this in August.  I really like this pattern because beside being really cute it wasn't that hard.  The only trouble I had was getting the ruffle on. So here are some pictures with my 2 foot terror as a model.  She just loves this dress because it makes her feel pretty. Cheesy

2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Cute Ducky Cross-stitch on: August 21, 2004 01:23:40 PM
I cross-stitched this all by myself. I sound like such a little kid. I bought it in a kit at Walmart. I should get a pic of my daughter wearing it.

3  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Help with understanding crochet abbreviations on: August 15, 2004 08:29:08 AM
HALP! Do you know what this means? hdc2tog over next 2 hdc I have no idea how to do that. Does it mean you do 2 hdc in the 3rd stitch or the 2nd stitch? Huh I'm making a dress for my daughter and I'm stuck about what i'm suppose to do with the shoulder straps.

The pattern is here http://www.bhg.com/bhg/story.jhtml?storyid=/templatedata/bhg/story/data/GreatGifts_FloralDress_09252003.xml&catref=S10&page=3

5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Extreme Purple Afghan on: August 04, 2004 06:57:02 PM
I made this afghan about 2 years ago for my little sista.  Purple's her favorite color.  It's like a big granny rectangle. I got the pattern off the label of yarn I was using.

6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Wicked Awesome Doily!!! on: July 29, 2004 10:42:01 PM
Hi, this is the first doiley that I've had the pleasure of crocheting.  It was fun and not too hard.  I made it for my mom for her birthday. My mom is wild about doilies. I'm working on a second one, different pattern.

Here's where I got the pattern:
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Washing fabric before sewing on: July 27, 2004 09:11:19 PM
So, I'm just wondering, do you have to wash fabric before cutting and sewing? I know you don't wash fleece.  But what about corduroy?

I'm making a dress for my daughter out of printed cotton. But it's going to be pretty much a church dress that she won't wear a whole lot.  So, what do you guys think? To wash or not to wash? I want to cut the pattern out soon, so if you could get back to me that would be wicked awesome. Grin
8  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / My husband made this!!! on: July 21, 2004 10:07:58 PM
So, my hubby crocheted this for me a couple of years ago while we were dating.  And I thought it was really sweet of him since it took him forever.  Believe it or not it was my hubby who taught me how to crochet.  Well, he taught me how to chain, single and double crochet.  Home Ec was mandatory in his school.

I absolutely love it!! Especially when people come over and say "Oh, did you make this?" and I'm like "No, my hubby did."  He's so talented.  The main color is
navy blue not black.  Is that a nice color scheme or what, I think I'm just really in love.

Anywho, here is the masterpiece.

9  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Baby Afghan (First Post) on: July 21, 2004 09:55:18 PM
This is my first time posting pictures cause my sista let me use her digital camera.  I seriously need to get one.

Anywho, this is the afghan I made for my daughter before I knew she was a girl. Umm, I finished it when she was a little over 12 months, she 17 months now. It took me forever because sometimes it got a little boring working with the baby yarn and I don't like changing color because I'm not very good at it.  I just did a ripple pattern that I got from bernat.  Hope you like.

I know this is pretty boring but I'm proud of it.
