The watch is 8"Long. The Watch face is made of mother of pearl and the band is made with round mother of pearl beads and black Onyx chip beads. Right now it has a springring clasp but I'm thinking of changing this to a lobster or a magnetic...

does anyone know if the magnets in the magnetic clasp interfer at all with watches? probity a silly question but I know they can be pretty strong and I do know most watches have metal in them so I though I'd ask...

8  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / using a cured resin object and embedding it in polyclay? on: May 27, 2007 09:04:40 AM
I want to take a cured fully hard resin object and embed it in poly clay and then bake it, but I'm wonding if anyone knows wether the heat you use to bake the clay is too much for the resin? has anyone tried this?

I'm mainly worried about heating up the cured resin and weather that would send off bad fumes or even possibly melt the resin or cause problems with the clay setting up... I'm also wondering how well poly clay bonds to super smooth objects(like resin or maybe a flat glass marble) when baked?

thanks in advance... Smiley
