1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Asian Ball-Jointed Doll swap? on: February 23, 2007 09:32:52 PM
We've had a swap for blythe owners, How about one for BJDs? It would probably have to be broken down by size... like, a 1/3 scale group and a 1/4 scale group. Would anyone be interested?
2  COOKING / Dessert / Care Bear Cake! on: August 04, 2006 07:31:50 PM
I just got done making this friend bear cake for a party tomorrow:
3  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Dollfie wig help? on: May 18, 2006 07:15:48 PM
I've developed an unhealthy obsession with asian ball joint dolls, and I was wondering if any of you know how to make wigs for them?
4  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Anti itching cream on: April 18, 2006 02:54:33 PM
It's mosquito season again. Does anyone have a recipe for something to put on bug bites to stop the itching?
5  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Recon Teddies, Need ideas! on: April 14, 2006 01:02:34 PM
I'm not sure if this belongs here or in the toys discussion forum, so a mod can move it if I was wrong.

I have 2 teddy bears. They are fairly plain, simple bears, same style, just different colors. I would like to do some reconstruction on them to make them into something cool, but I can't think of anything to do with these two. I'm usually full of devious plots, but these teddies don't inspire me: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=9505719853

Things I have to work with, as far as spare plush parts that could be attached:
Snowman head
Legless flamingo beanie baby
a white bear arm, and a red bear leg, in a larger scale that these two.
And all the other plush in that auction, but I'm saving the bunny basket and the big sheep for something else.

So how can I combine/remove some bits to improve these bears?
6  CLOTHING / Shoes: Discussion and Questions / How can i fix my boots? on: April 13, 2006 05:48:00 PM
Ok, I have these awesome platform boots, but they're hard to wear for long periods of time because there isn't any toe room. There would be plenty of room for my feet if the actual footbed didn't curve upwards at the toes. I'm looking for a way to hack away at it from inside and level out the footbed. They have huge platforms, so there really is plenty of potential toeroom . But what could i use?

Here's a diagram,Not my actual boots, these were the closest i could find. On mine the turned up toe is more exaggerated.
the red line is where the actual footbed of the shoe is.
7  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / pony plush (now with tutorial) on: April 06, 2006 11:00:45 AM
Ok, I'm nervous. I've never posted anything I made here before, and I hope you don't all hate me. (this is someone else. My friend is crazy. That is all.) Right, that was KariudoMegami typing over my shoulder. Anyway, here's a little felt horsie I made:

8  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Leftover bits on: April 04, 2006 04:45:41 PM
Hi there, I'm Hazzard, and I'm new to craftster. My friend KariudoMegami convinced me to join. I didnt see any specific place for introductions, and since i am mostly a plushmaker, I figured I would introduce myself here.

That over with, i have a legitimate question. I adore making "frankenplushies" (plushies combined from spare parts of other plushies) And if anyone happens to have some random eyes/noses/arms/legs/tails/heads/torsos/etc. hanging around I would really like to get in touch with you. I will pay shipping and a bit extra.
